Honey dust - edible powder discontinued by Kama Sutra - review by Vanessa Weiss

Honey Dust is an edible powder, which, using the included feather tickler, you are to teasingly dust your partner with, and then kiss/lick off. Could make for some sexy sensation play. However, be aware of several things.

The ingredients: Corn Starch, Natural Honey, Fructose, Honeysuckle. All natural ingredients, thankfully, and I really appreciate that myself. However, there are a surprising number of people who are allergic to honey, so be warned - this stuff does, for real, contain ACTUAL HONEY. You don't want your hot foreplay to end up in hives and itching!

The idea of teasing your lover with a tickly feather poof and licking sweetness off his/her body is very sexy, so I'd recommend this sort of thing for a romantic night in, a couples getaway, maybe a honeymoon. Or just any night of the week you're looking to spice things up a bit!

I wouldn't, due to the ingredients, advise using this on or near the vagina, as it could lead to irritation or bacterial growth, and that's just NOT sexy.

The dust is a fine, fluffy powder with the sweet scent of honeysuckle and an almost etherial taste to match. It goes on smoothly with the included feather tickler (more on that later) and seems to more or less stay where you've dusted it until you lick it off.

Strangely, even though this is made with honey and sugar, I did not notice any stickiness, even once things got a little sweaty. Either I licked it all off, didn't put on as much as I thought, or it's just not as sticky as I thought it would be.

The texture on the skin is very nice - silky smooth like you've dusted down with cornstarch (because that's the main ingredient). It gives a nice matte look to the skin and a nice satiny feel when you run your hands over the skin you've dusted.

The powder itself is scented with honeysuckle and flavored with honeysuckle and honey, which is a delicious combination. And it actually tastes like both, because it is actually made with both, not just perfumed. The smell is rather strong in the container but light on the skin. The taste, when licking it off your partner, is almost an etherial "suggestion" of flavor - which just makes you want to lick or kiss some more!

Ahh, performance. This works exactly how it's supposed to - you dip the feather poof into the tin of powder, and dust, flick, tease, and sprinkle it onto your partner's (theoretically naked) body. For most people, the sensation of the feathers is really sexy, but I'm a freak and really, really do not like that sort of "creepy crawly" feeling. My partner at the time loved it, so I was mostly the duster, rather than the dustee.

It comes in a decorative tin, with a feather poof and a sack containing the "magic" dust. Very cute packaging, suitable for gift giving or a romantic evening at home.

I've tried in this review to give this product a fair shake (no pun intended). I basically like everything about this except for the fact that I'm just not into this sort of foreplay - especially not with the feathers! But guys/ladies, if you are into that sort of thing, this is worth a try - it's very romantic, almost to the point of being over-the-top.
