Subtlety Sweetened Skin

Kama Sutra's Honeysuckle Honey Dust is wonderful. I prefer its edible ingredients to talc and absolutely adore the way it makes my skin feel. The sensual bouquet and taste, the quality, the quantity; it's easy to appreciate a good product, even if you don't use it for intimacies.

Use

This product is simply fantastic for keeping the skin dry, fresh, and kissable; especially during the warmer months. It's great between and underneath the breasts, the thighs, under the buttocks, and on the neck or shoulders- wherever. Honey Dust is a charming product for both couples and individuals. I'd use the Honey Dust at any time, though the feather duster it comes with allows you to enjoy sensual, teasing play with your partner. While I had no allergic reactions, it's always wise to do a patch test on your skin.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

I found the Honey Dust to be very fine, very smooth. Applying the product is impossibly simple. Once it sets on your skin, you're left with a luxurious velvety feel. After you work it into your skin it pretty much stays. It'll rub off against clothing over time- as to be expected from any topical product. It's not at all sticky even after kisses or sweating.

Taste / Aroma

When I fist opened my tin the aroma was pretty strong, but I don't think I'd call it overwhelming. I have noticed that you get more of the sweetness in the product after it sets on your skin; kissing right after application tastes more like fragrance than honey. It also doesn't really taste like honey or honeysuckles. I'd say it's just a subtle sweetness. While there isn't a distinct flavor and it tastes better after a few minutes, there's nothing off-putting about the Honey Dust. I love applying it to my breasts, knowing the boyfriend will experience it later in the day.

Performance

Even with frequent use, Kama Sutra provides you with such a generous amount of Honey Dust you can be sure it'll last a long while. There's no need to wash the product off, and if you spill it cleanup is as simple as a vacuum or wet rag. I love that it's made with safe cornstarch and natural honey, as opposed to talc. The scent and sweetness can last for a few hours. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I feel as if the sweet flavor is more pronounced as time passes, and I love it.

Try not to get carried away when applying the dust. If you sweat heavily it'll end up clumping together in little bits- very unappealing.

Packaging

Kama Sutra's Honey Dust comes with a drawstring bag which has the dust inside of it (in a plastic bag), and a feather duster all inside a small tin. While I don't think the bag is the best for storing the dust, I find it's a wonderful way to keep your feather duster free of actual dust and germs. The tin is a nice home for your Honey Dust with an appealing Indian print, product information, and the manufacturer's name on it. Even with the name "Kama Sutra" on the tin, the product is innocent enough. I keep it on my dresser and it hasn't been questioned yet. It also comes with a little pamphlet which lists different Kama Sutra products and company contact information. The seal on the lid is wonderfully secure; in fact it can be hard to open at times which is something I actually like. If you were to drop the tin with the dust inside you can be sure it won't open and scatter. That feature also assures that this would be safe for travel, even in the rough hands of the men who load your luggage into planes. I doubt it'd open after being tossed around.
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Travel friendly
    • Would make a nice gift
Follow-up commentary
I have no complaints about the Honey Dust. While I don't use it quite as frequently as when it was new to me, it's a wonderful surprise for the partner every now and then. Unexpected sweetness on the flesh is always fun. I'd still recommend it for warmer days- so long as it's not too hot or humid. I haven't done much with sensual play, but the feather duster alone has had use in a night or two of simple romance. I'm positive that this is a product just about any one can enjoy for a long, long while.

I just got this and the lid does not stay on well at all. I don't know if they've changed the lid but I don't see why, if they did, they'd make it worse...
I still like it a lot though. I'm starting my review on it now.
