Eos is a fun company that makes fresh bath and body products. I love the mint version of this balm with its refreshing menthol that cools the lips as it moisturizes!

Do you love the original Burt's Bees? Then you're in luck! This stuff is so similar to that and I never thought anything could rival Burt's! Eos is a fairly new company that makes eco-friendly and body safe bath and beauty products. They have attractive, thoughtful, and functional packaging. Their flavor and scent choices are also fresh and crisp. Mint and vanilla are the choices here, but their other products have even more to offer. This balm is amazingly also gluten free, cruelty free, and organic. It has a wonderful tingling (for the mint) and really gets the moisturizing done too.
This lip balm is very smooth and silky. It goes on a bit thicker than regular Chap-Stick, but is thinner than the Dona lip balm I last reviewed. It's not at all grainy and has a fluid texture. It stays where you put it and never feels greasy or sticky. While I am wearing it I'm not consciously aware that I am wearing it. By this I mean that it doesn't cause my lips to feels weird and it doesn't bother me in anyway.
There are two choices available for this balm: mint and vanilla. I chose the mint because I'm rarely a fan of vanilla smelling things unless it's real vanilla. It smells just like Wintermint from Orbit gum. I want to eat it! The smell is crisp and fresh. It smells natural and not artificial which adds to the quality. It's so strong that it actually clears up my sinuses for the first minutes of wearing it. It also has a slight minty taste when you lick your lips. I like that too.
To use the product, you slide off a sheath. This exposes the tube that gets twisting up so that the balm can be applied. It's wider than regular Chap-Stick tubes, and thus even easier to apply. The balm goes on smooth and doesn't clump up at all. the large applicator glides well. I like the feeling of the balm on my lips and can instantly feel the menthol cooling and tingling slightly. It smells and tastes great too. If I kiss my boyfriend within a few minutes of applying the balm, he can also feel the cooling. Unfortunately, he is not a fan of it.
The balm is very easily smoothed around between the lips and seals in moisture. It gives them a slight shine, but it's very natural and works well over lip stains or tints. Even after it absorbs into my lips or get licked off during the day, my lips are still left feeling softer and smoother. This stuff is great!
Eos's packaging is really unique. It takes the typical packaging and adds a convenient twist. This particular product come sin a thicker tube and has an indent in the sheath top so it can be snapped in with a secure finger. There is an indented eos logo on the side and the bottom. The mint comes in a stylishly colored plastic tube with a matte finish. The ingredients are lost when you take off the plastic that seals the balm.
I have a few issues with the packaging. You get .14 fluid ounces of the balm, which looks like a lot from the outside, but when it is twisted all the way up, it looks like this...
This is decreased in the picture slightly because I used it for two days. Also, when you get at the end, the balm will fall out!
