Mint Vs Vanilla

Evolution of smooth (eos) organic lip balm is full of natural ingredients that are formulated to hydrate your lips. This lip balm is currently available in three scent options this review will cover two of them. The mint smells nice and leaves a tingling sensation on your lips during use. The vanilla is a mild smell that wasn't pleasant to me. This lip balm goes on smooth, but is quickly absorb. It comes in a cute twist up tube with 0.14 oz of lip balm. The price is fairly high for what you get.

Use

Evolution of Smooth known as eos brings you organic lip balm in smooth stick form. There is also a round container. The stick lip balm is currently available in three scent options Mint, Vanilla, and Pomegranate raspberry. I purchased the Mint and the Vanilla.

Lip balm is used to add hydration to your lips giving them a healthy appearance. Adding hydration to your lips will help prevent cracked or chapped lips. The eos lip balm is effective for adding hydration for short periods of time. If you are looking for a long lasting lip balm, eos is not the brand for you.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The stick lip balm from eos comes in a tube that twist up to expose your lip balm. The lip balm goes on smooth. It feels thin, silky, and not at all greasy, grainy, or sticky. It's easy rubbed on your lips in the stick form without using your fingers. It can be easily glided on your lips like you would lip stick. The lip balm stays in place well until it is absorbed.

Taste / Aroma

The Vanilla doesn't taste like vanilla, but it does smell like freezer burnt vanilla ice cream. I was not a fan of this smell. Vanilla can be a great scent option sometimes, but with this lip balm it was not the best option in my opinion. The vanilla was a very sweet smell that I found to be sickening.

The Mint does taste like mint and it leaves a cooling feeling on your tongue if you lick it. The smell reminds me of Peppermint candies that are red and white. It's very awakening scent to your sinus' that is a fresh minty scent. The mint also tingles on your lips giving them a minty cool feeling. I really like the mint lip balm.

Performance

I used the Vanilla a few times, but decided it was not for me. It did not last very long because it absorbs rather quickly. I say it absorbs within 30 minutes of use. The smell was not pleasant to me, so I decided to give the Vanilla to my niece. She can play dress up with it and it won't get all over the place like colored lip stick. I continue to use the mint daily. Even though I have to constantly reapply this lip balm, I like it. I enjoy the minty cool feeling that it does to my lips. It makes them feel more awakened and refreshed. Also having mint under my nose during this season (Spring) helps with my allergies. Both the mint and the vanilla go on clear and only add the slight shine to your lips. What is left behind is not like gloss, but like chapstick. This lip balm wears away faster if you are a lip licker or do other things with your lips a lot. If you lick this lip balm your tongue will get the minty cool feeling as well. If I want to wash off this lip balm I must use a damp cloth because the minty coolness stays behind even after the balm is wiped away.

Packaging

Each tube comes wrapped in plastic with a dotted proof on it. That plastic wrap tells you the lip balm in 100% natural, 95% organic, it's not tested on animals, Gluten-free, and your ingredients. Each scent option is slightly different with the ingredients. The tube fits nicely in your pocket or in your purse. The cap clicks closed, so there should be no issues with it popping open and getting all over the place. You get 0.14 oz of lip balm.
