Glitter and glide

When you see a pool of it in the palm of your hand and all the gold dust is glittering... you really feel like you have something amazing. It absorbs nicely into your skin, works perfectly as a massage oil and skin moisturizer. This massage oil is really something special.

Use

Lelo's Flickering Touch Massage Oil is a unique treat. The packaging is beautiful, the thin oil is moisturizing, and full of 24k gold dust to make your partner's skin glitter. Try it in a room full of lit candles to enhance the effect. This oil is too expensive for everyday use, but is perfect for special occasions and romantic getaways.

This is a very, very thin massage oil. It will run everywhere if you aren't paying attention, but it is very light and quickly absorbed into the skin. The 24k gold dust is barely noticeable unless you happen to be around lit candles or venture out into the sunlight.

When you pump some of the oil onto your hand, it looks like water with an oily sheen to the top of it. The sheen is all of your gold flecks floating around. They sink down to the bottom of the oil in a matter of seconds. This massage oil doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy or heavy like some oils will.

Taste / Aroma

I picked out the Spicy Clove and Amber scent with the orange cap. I was really hoping for it to smell something like clove cigarettes, sadly it doesn't. I can't smell any trace of Cloves at all in this oil. Just Amber and something lightly spicy. The scent is very light and faintly sweet. It reminds me of Fall/Winter holiday baking.

This oil tastes like perfume. I wouldn't suggest sampling it.

Performance

The Flickering Touch Massage Oil works nicely as a massage product and a skin moisturizer. All you need is two-three pumps for a back massage. It leaves your skin feeling soft and with a light coating of oil that is quickly absorbed. The gold dust is barely noticeable if the lighting around you is too bright or florescent. Candlelight really seems to really make the gold glow and stand out.

When used as a skin moisturizer, it really needs to be rubbed in well or it leaves a oily coating on your skin. It leaves your skin looking nice with a healthy glow.

Packaging

The box is beautiful and discreet. The bottle is sleek and made with a thick black glass. The pump top and font are the same shade of gold. The orange plastic cap is unique and and really makes this look more like a perfume bottle than a massage product. You could leave this sitting out on your bedside table if you wanted just because the bottle looks so nice.

Lelo's Flickering Touch Massage Oil would make a great gift for your special someone or massage addict.

Personal comments

This was really a splurge for me. I've been dying to try this for months now and was a little let down.I had hoped that it would smell more like Cloves and less like pumpkin pie spices, thought there was going to be more than the tiny smidgen of gold dust in every couple pumps of oil, and for the price!

But, the oil is light and absorbed quickly. It won't leave your skin feeling greasy or overly oily unless you accidentally put on too much. The packaging is beautiful and isn't something that I have to hide away like most of my collection. The pump doesn't leak, stick or clog. My sensitive skin has no problems with it. The fragrance is very light and you really have to get close to notice it at all.

The price is what makes Lelo's Flickering Touch Massage Oil more for special occasions rather than an every day thing.
Follow-up commentary
I still really enjoy using Lelo's Flickering Touch Massage Oil. Although, because of the rather hefty price tag for this oil, I think we've only used it a small handful of times for special occsaions. If there was a less expensive (gold free) option available on the market, I'm sure we would stock up on it. This oil is amazing!
