Great in conjunction

Alone, this powder is much better than nothing, but in conjunction with the spray I can say that it has gotten rid of any and all irritation I have from shaving. This series of shaving products really compliments each other, and I would highly recommend it for those who experience bad irritation.

Use

This powder is meant to be applied to newly shaved, irritated areas. It is an aftershave, but is a different concept than traditional, liquid aftershaves that you see around. This powder is intended to cover any irritated areas and to make them more soft and slippery, and this slippery-ness is supposed to help them to not get irritated rubbing against clothing.

It's also intended to absorb any excess moisture from problem areas and prevent any chafing. I haven't had much chance to experiment with this use in large-scale yet because most of my chafing problems occur during the summer months, but it does a wonderful job of absorbing excess liquid after my shower.

This product would be great to use for men or women, but it does smell a bit 'feminine.' If you are a guy with chafing problems, this would be a great way to sooth chafing and any irritation down there. You can use it on your armpits or legs, as well, but I would recommend making sure that it's all the way rubbed in or you may end up with powder being visible.

The ingredients are as follows;
Mica, boron nitride, zinc stearate, silica, aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder, zinc oxide (CI 77947), fragrance (parfum)

Pulled off of the Classic Erotica website, they claim that;
Mica: softest, smoothest natural mineral powder
Silica: natural powder mineral;conditions skin;heals;treats dry skin;guards against inflammation & skin eruptions
Boron Nitride: fluffy mineral salt;keeps skin soft & lubricious to prevent chafing;anti-bacterial; suggested for sensitive skin
Zinc Stearate: acts to repel moisture & perspiration to keep skin dry/anti-caking agent
Aloe Leaf Juice Powder: skin soothing, moisturizing agent

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This product is a very light powder. Mica is the main ingredient in a lot of face powders and is also the main ingredient in baby powders. This has a fairly similar consistency to baby powder or baking powder, to give you a better idea. Once applied onto your skin, it stays put fairly well and I haven't noticed any 'fallout.'

It's very easy to get this powder on the poof, but if you turn the poof upside down the powder does fall off a bit. It's easy to pick up an amount that's good for your intimate areas, but if you are powdering your legs or somewhere you have chafing issues you may need several poofs worth of powder.

When wearing this, it doesn't feel slick or powdered, it just makes you feel soft and comfortable. It's easy to forget that you're even wearing this powder over the course of the day until you wonder why you feel so dry and soft.

Taste / Aroma

I haven't tasted this product yet, but I wouldn't recommend ingesting this if you can help it. While the ingredients aren't toxic, they also aren't intended to be ingested. If you do get any in your mouth, it's not anything to worry about.

The aroma, on the other hand, is light and feminine. It smells like a bath powder I used to use out of the shower to lock in moisture and leave me feeling soft. It smells a bit like floral baby powder, so it's not the most complimentary scent but it does smell very 'clean' and 'fresh.'

Something that I think would be awesome would be scents that complimented the scents of the shaving cream. This and the Coochy Protection spray don't even have complimentary scents, but the scents of this and the spray fade quickly so it isn't very noticeable.

As an aside, this may also smell a bit like your grandmothers restroom; fresh, clean, and soft. It's not very sexy, and my boyfriend just thought that it smelled like baby powder.

Performance

Coochy Protection spray alone gets rid of about 85% of my irritation after shaving.
Coochy protection powder alone gets rid of about 70% of my irritation after shaving.
These two together? They're like peanutbutter and jelly, Batman and Robin, frenchfries and milkshakes.

Together these two product have completely eliminated any irritation I'd had left before. I feel like this powder really helps to create an extra barrier to let the protective film that the spray forms last even longer, and it does an awesome job at reducing friction between stubble and my clothing.

One qualm I have with the Coochy spray is that sometimes it leaves a bit of moisture that takes 10-15 minutes to dry, especially on the lower areas of my vulva. This spray also completely eliminates that! I am very impressed with how well these two products compliment eachother.

If used on it's own, it does a great job at reducing friction. I feel like it is great as a protective agent, but that it doesn't do as good a job as the spray at forming a film over the pores and reducing swelling that was already there.

It absorbs into the skin well, but if you are using somewhere that is easy to see

Packaging

This powder comes in a really cool bottle. It's sealed with a sticker when you get it, but after removing the sticker it's not going to leak at all. The entire thing is made of hard plastic, and the top screws on the to the bottom part very easily.

The part of the container with the powder reservoir and the part of the container with the powder poof are separated by an opaque plastic insert. This insert has about 15 small holes in it that are intended to only let a small amount of powder through to come in contact with the powder poof. Once you have a bit of powder on the top area with the poof, it stays there and doesn't fall back in with the rest of the powder.

I found that the easiest way to work this design is to
1) Remove the poof
2) Tightly close the lid
3) Shake container up and down a few times
4) Open
5) Get powder on poof
6) Apply

If you do it this way, it's easier to control the amount of powder you get on the poof, and since the excess powder doesn't fall back into with the rest of the product you then have 2 or 3 applications worth of powder left in the top for the next day.

The package is fairly straightforward about what it is, but unless someone reads the label it looks like a normal face or body powder container. I wouldn't hesitate to give this as a gift or travel with it, especially because of the awesome container.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Does not leak
    • Easy to use / dispense
