Yay something for butt chaffe!!(good for shaving too!)

Body Boudoir Cootchy powder is an after shaving talc made especially for the bikini zone. Formulated with aloe and other natural ingredients it works great to prevent chafing, redness, bumps and other discomfort.
It doesn't smell great- very 'baby powder all grown upish' but its soft and smooth and the provided sifter and puff make application easy.

Use

not sure I can say this any better without plagiarizing so straight from the Classic erotics website:
"Specially designed to provide comfort and protection to intimate and bikini area
Helps prevent friction chafing to inner thigh area from walking
May also be used for other areas of the body such as underarms, breasts, face and body
Provides an ultra, silky-smooth comfort layer between clothing & skin
Includes aloe vera to protect newly shaven skin & helps relieve itchiness associated with a fresh shave
Reduces tenderness & redness plus protects against skin rash
Formulated with an ultra-fine mica base to assure the ultimate in softness
Use after shaving, bathing or anytime to feel extra fresh & protected
Apply with included washable, applicator puff
Leaves skin with a luxurious, smooth & silky protective veil
Lightly embellished with a white lavender fragrance
Jar has built-in sifter, so you get just the right amount of powder each time."

Basically after you shave you apply this light powder for comfort and to help avoid razor burn, chafe, redness, bumps, and ingrown hairs. You can also use it elsewhere (like under your boobs or between your butt cheeks) to prevent chafe or if you really like the smell.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This is kinda funny because to tell you the truth I have a total aversion to 'dry' things. Chalk, flour, sawdust, clay when its dry, anything really dry on my skin that is scratchy and doesn't melt (as opposed to cornstarch etc) makes me want to cry, scream and throw up at the same time. Needless to say it's funny that despite this fact, I picked a product like this one for a buy out review- I'm a sucker for punishment I guess, although I'm so tactility sensitive (not sensitive skin as pertains to rashes and reactions but textures affect me emotionally) that growing up I chose talcum powders over the annoying feeling of water drying on my skin. Contradictory I know but that is me!
This powder is actually very soft- not scratchy. The granules are small enough that they don't bother my aversion. The included puff spreads nicely, although it does seem like such a fine powder that a lot ends up in the air. It's a pale pink color but once on the skin blends in to a translucent matte finish.

Taste / Aroma

I don't actually really like the smell of this powder- It smells like grandmas that were born in the 30's. That generic sort of 'baby powder all grown up' smell. Yes it smells soft and yes it smells feminine but it also smells dated and boring. It's too bad because Classic Erotica makes a ton of awesome scents- Their shave cream scents Pear Berry and Green Tea are awesome, but this? Nope not for me but if you like Love's Baby Soft or Chantilly you will probably like this.

Performance

The results of using the powder were both immediate and long term. Basically it works until your new hair growth is visible, which is exactly what you need- it's when the hair folicles are just breaking the surface of the skin that bumps and ingrown hairs occur.
If the sting of an after shave bothers you, this might be a nice alternative, and it doesn't cause the blood spots that the astringent qualities of the spray caused. If you didn't like how it smelled or felt, washing it off is very easy due to the fine consistency of the powder.

Packaging

0.4floz of Coochy Aftershave Powder comes in a round plastic container with a metallic blue label. It's a sifter jar- which means it has a lid inside with tiny holes in it that dispense a small amount of the product at a time. On top of this sits an included powder puff- the old school kind with lots of stray hairs. Personally I don't really like this type of applicator as it can get caked and/or dirty really easy, but I guess since shaving generally ensures a clean skin, dirt shouldn't be much of a problem.
Instructions for use are part of the label and include a warning not to use or broken or irritated skin; of course do not let it come into contact with your eyeballs.

Special Features

The ingredients in Coochy Powder are said to have the following qualities (straight from the Classic Erotica website)
"Provides Protection & Keeps Intimate Areas Moisture-Free of Perspiration!
Made with Skin Soothing & Protection Agents to Guard Skin from Chafing & Absorbs Moisture
Mica: softest, smoothest natural mineral powder
Silica: natural powder mineral/conditions skin/heals/treats dry skin/guards against inflammation skin eruptions
Boron Nitride: fluffy mineral salt/keeps skin soft & lubricious to prevent chafing/anti-bacterial/ suggested for sensitive skin
Zinc Stearate: acts to repel moisture & perspiration to keep skin dry/anti-caking agent
Aloe Leaf Juice Powder: skin soothing, moisturizing agent"

it also contains 'fragrance'- your guess is as good as mine about what that means, but the more sensitive among us will definitely find it can cause irritation.

Experience

Hmmm well I used this in conjunction with 2 other luxury shave products from Eden- the Dona Mangosteen shave gel and Simply Sensual aftershave so I have a tough time knowing whether or not the results were due to a stand out product or a combination of 2 or more. Since I always use a great razor and shave gel I'm going to say that I think the spray and the powder together were a great team in ensuring no painful or unsightly red marks or bumps appeared right after shaving or any time in the next few days.
The powder seemed to soak up any extra moisture left by the spray, which was nice and I didn't experience any chafing either. Sometimes my butt cheeks rub together between my legs- I always called it 'ass chafe' but I've heard others call it 'chub rub'; even if you are super skinny you can still get raw, red, sore skin from the flesh rubbing against itself and this product is perfect to keep that from happening as it's sweat and other moisture plus friction that causes it.

I'm really enjoying my simply sensual aftershave, but with summer coming up, I'd be willing to put up with an old lady smell if it kept my thighs from irritation when I'm wearing a skirt. Thanks for the feedback!
