Silky Scented Lusciousness

Body oil isn't the most common body product, but this stuff definitely makes me want to try more. A silky oil that makes your skin extra touchable and covers you in a light, sweet scent that is soft and pleasant. Whether I'm putting it on at night or first thing in the morning, it always makes me feel sexy and pampered!

Use

Body Boudoir's Body Dew is a scented body oil with pheromones. It's meant to be rubbed onto skin for a soft, silky feel that smells amazing. And it pretty much does. Just don't try to eat it.
It's great for applying all over after a pre-date shower for an extra touch of sexy, or a small amount before bed for a sort of... luxurious, pampered feeling. Honestly, I love to put it on after the shower know matter what I'm going to be doing. It's just a really nice feeling.
According to the bottle, outside of its uses and wonderful scent, there's a few extra perks, such as that it's not tested on animals, paraben & sulfate free, and it claims to be safe for all skin types. For some reason, it also mentions that it's sugar free, but since it's not edible, I'm not entirely sure why that's included.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Except for that place between your fingers where nothing that sticks around ever feels good, I love the way the Body Dew feels. It's thin, but not so much that it gets everywhere, not gloppy or gummy at all, very smooth, and not sticky at all. You could say it feels a tiny bit greasy as you rub it on, but it's really not in a bad way.
And once it's absorbed, the closest thing I can describe it to is when you rub a bit of good candle wax between your fingers. The way the wax leaves a soft, smooth area that you just want to keep rubbing. It's a silky, touchable feeling that's rather nice.

Taste / Aroma

I would not recommend tasting the Body Dew, since it's not edible, but I definitely encourage smelling it. This scent's title-- Make Me Blush-- is actually extremely fitting, in that it kind of reminds me of the scent of blush (as in makeup). Light and sweet and kind of powdery. Every whiff of it brings to mind a lot of girly things; make-up, flowers, candy. I wouldn't call it a sexy smell, and I'm not sure about the pheromones (no one's commented on any extra-attractiveness or anything), but it's a very soft, light, pretty smell that I absolutely love.
Unfortunately, the scent doesn't last all that long. A few hours, I would say, and then it occasionally is replaced by a light, sort of plastic-y scent, that's not a bad smell, it's just not the same. But that's quickly solved by putting more on!

Performance

The Body Dew does exactly what it says it will. It makes your skin softer, silkier, more touchable, and gives it a great, wonderful scent.
The softness lasts for most of the day, and the scent lasts for a few hours, and it's lovely to have on. Personally, I don't really like the feeling of anything on the inside of my hands. Even lotion; if it's on my palms or between my fingers, it drives me crazy. The Body Dew wasn't much of an exception, but I definitely didn't feel the need to wash it off immediately, because any time the somewhat slick feeling bugged me, I just took a whiff and remembered why I like it. And with the rest of my body, I pretty much never wanted to take it off.
It's rather nice, as well, that once it is absorbed/dries up a bit, your skin is still left with that soft feeling.

I do have to make a quick critical note about two things.
First is the bottle. It is giant, which is awesome, but the spray nozzle only shoots out a tiny bit at a time. This might be a good thing, when you think about those perfume bottles that bombard you with so much perfume that you feel like someone can smell you from a mile away. But since I used this on my whole body, it meant I was constantly pumping the nozzle, and it got kinda old. But that isn't a big issue, just a pet peeve.
Second, is the instructions. It's "Suggested Use" paragraph on the bottle recommends; "After Bath or Shower, Prior to Drying, Gently Mist onto Damp, Moist Skin and Massage...:
I wouldn't suggest this at all. After bath/shower? Yes. While damp? ...Not so much. It's an oil, after all, and if there's any bit of water still on your skin when you put it on, it results in big streaks of beads along your skin, where the water and body oil refuse to come to any sort of agreement on your skin.
So I recommend at least patting yourself down a bit with a towel before applying, just to make things easier on yourself.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely

Packaging

I have no idea why, but I expected the Body Dew to be in a tiny bottle. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention to the fluid ounces, but I was extremely pleased to see this giant 8 oz. bottle. I have hair spray bottles that are smaller than this.
The packaging itself wasn't the best, but wasn't bad. The bottle is very cute (simple, shiny, pink) and it has lots of information on it, but instead of its own box, it just came wrapped in a plastic bag, which isn't ideal if you're going to give this as a gift. Very simple, though.

Special Features

There aren't any special features to this oil other than it's pretty scent. Remember, it's not a massage oil, and definitely not a lubricant. Think of it as a body lotion replacement, just to rub onto your skin after a bath and feel oh-so pampered.

Personal comments

I really like this stuff. I wouldn't really say it moisturizes, which it claims, because once it's effects aren't really long term, but it leaves your skin soft and silky and smells so good! I definitely think that this is going to be my favorite body product as the weather gets warmer. I'll probably wear it every day, and need more by the end of summer. But, hey, isn't it even more awesome that it'll probably last that long?
Follow-up commentary
I'm still completely in love with this stuff. The bottle's still almost half full, it still smells wonderful, and I've found a few new ways to use it! My favorite is to spritz it into my bath. It gives the bath a wonderful scent, luxurious feel, and AND when I get out, I'm already covered in it. I just pat dry afterward and enjoy the softness and spring scent.
Still love it!
