Body dew silky body oil - body moisturizer discontinued by Classic Erotica - review by SimpleHedonist

Body Dew by Classic Erotica is designed as an after shower skin moisturizer, but it is so much more than that!

The oil is made in three scents: Citrus, Make Me Blush, and Original. All three scents are advertised to also be infused with pheromones to help attract and enchant those around you. I tried the original scent, which the bottle states is a mix of gardenia and tuberose. I am not usually a fan of floral type scents, but to me this is more of a spicy floral, which I totally love! As far as pheromones, my husband says he really likes the scent, but it hasn't exactly made him jump my bones (any more than usual anyway!) When first sprayed, the scent is pretty strong. Once on your skin, the scent lasts for a couple hours, and then slowly fades away.

Ingredients as listed:

Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Isopropyl Palmitate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Copuline-alike, Copulandrone, Reconstitued Andronone, Retinyl Palmitata (Vitamin A), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), BHT, Fragrance (Parfum)

It has no Phthalates, no Sulfates, and is Paraben free.

The oil comes in a huge 8oz pump type spray bottle! The bottle has a large plastic cap that covers the pump. This cap is my only complaint with this product, it tends to fall off of the bottle very easily. While the cap is a problem, I still have not had the oil leak.

The oil sprays out of the pump in a very small stream, and this keeps it from getting all over and making a mess. To give you an idea of the quantity dispensed, I usually need 3-4 pumps of oil to well moisturize each of my legs.

The oil is very thin in texture, and is a pale yellowish, oil color. Even though the oil is thin, the spray bottle dispenses it in a way that keeps it from making a greasy mess all over the place. I have accidentally tasted the oil, and I will say it tastes less than wonderful! I would not recommend putting it in your mouth on purpose.

This oil does a fantastic job of moisturizing my skin. It absorbs very thoroughly, not leaving a greasy or heavy residue on my skin. What it does leave is amazingly soft, scented, and shiny skin! I always feel like I have just left the spa when I use this oil. I use it as directed, after showering while my skin is still moist (not wet).

At the beginning of this review, I mentioned that this oil is good for so much more than just its advertised purpose as a moisturizer. Here are a few of my favorite off-label uses:

Massage Oil - while this oil is pretty thin compared to your average massage oil, it actually performs very well for this purpose. When my husband gives me a back massage with this he usually applies 4-5 squirts to my back. This will last for 10+ minutes, and then he applies another 2-3 squirts for each additional 10 minutes of massage. The pump type bottle makes it really convenient to use while laying in bed, so we don't have to worry about oil spilling.

After Waxing Skin Conditioner - I do my own Brazilian waxes at home. One night when I was out of my normal skin conditioner (oil based), I tried a bit of this oil. Not only did it clean up all of the residual stickiness from waxing, but I have kept that silky, sexy, and smooth just waxed feeling much longer using this oil than with other products.

Tattoo Care - I have yet to get my first tattoo, but my sister in law has several, and she has borrowed a bit of this oil to shine up her body art. It is amazing how beautiful a little oil can make a tattoo.

Taming Frizzy Hair - I have very curly frizzy hair, and despite the best hair care products I can find, I still end up with frizzy fly away hairs all the time. I have used this oil on several occasions to keep those in check. I simply spray a single pump of the oil on my hand, rub it in pretty well, and then smooth my hair with my hands. It does an amazing job of calming the frizzes without making my hair look or feel greasy.

Do be aware that this oil is not intended as a lubricant, and as it is an oil and is damaging to condoms.

Every time I use this oil I am amazed at how far it goes and how long my bottle is lasting. At under $9 a bottle, it is an amazing deal on a fantastic multipurpose oil!

I love, love, love this oil!!!!!! It is an essential product for me now, and I am well stocked up, just in case it ever gets discontinued. Can't say enough good about this product!!!
