These are great throes. Although I would recommend getting the shag over the safari or the posh, because the shag is softer and a bit larger. Which ever Liberator Throe you choose to get, you cant go wrong.
This is used for keeping your bed dry and clean from any bodily fluids that are produced during sexual activities. It is waterproof, and washable. Lay it down under you or your liberator shapes, have your fun without worrying about the mess. Throw it in the wash when you are done. Sleep in a dry bed. you cant really say much more about these blankets and what they do.
This Safari is exactly the same as the Posh, just a different color. I can find nothing else that makes these different from each other. So a lot of this review will be the same as my posh review, since there is really nothing new to add.
The throe is 54 inches by 60 inches. It is slightly smaller then a full size bed. (See chart below) For $85 I would like my blanket to cover more of my king size bed. I believe most people on Eden have grown up beds, since anything smaller then a queen would make sleeping with your partner very uncomfortable. Not having to worry about fluids over shooting the edge of the blanket would be a nice feature.
This is made from 100% polyester on the back side. And a mixture of materials on the front side. 42% Nylon, 38% polyester, and 20% cotton. The back side has a slight satin feel to it. The front side reminds me of the texture of my Jazz (or any other Liberator shape).
As usual, the craftsmanship on Liberator gear is outstanding. There is no flaws to be found. All the seams are finished well, not one loose thread. There are no flaws in the body of the blanket. It is put together very well. It is also made in the USA. Another big plus for Liberator.
Standard bed sizes:
Twin 39 inches by 75 inches
Full 54 inches by 75 inches
Queen 60 inches by 80 inches
King 76 inches by 80 inches
Cal. King 72 inches by 84 inches
This has performed just as well as my Shag and Posh does. We have yet to have a leak through, and sometimes a lot of liquid gets thrown at it. It is a pain to wash and dry sometimes, just like the other ones. I think this has something to do with the dual layers. They tend to wrap themselves up in each other, making it difficult to untangle. It doesn't happen every time, but it is a pain when it does happen.
The color has not faded at all. None of my liberator shapes or throws have. It will over time, all things do. I have had our Shag for about 6 months now, and I have not noticed any change in color yet. I expect the same wear out of my Safari Throe.
This is packaged in a clear plastic box, with a paper insert showing a woman in underwear snuggling with the throe. You can tell it is in some way a sexual aid. If it was not, she would be in PJ's not underwear. There are a few testimonials on the back from throe users. That is about it. One out of three throes I have purchased came with a care sheet. Not sure if the sheets are something new they just added, or if they forgot to include them in the other two.
The package is not good to keep around for storage. You can not fold the throe up tight enough to fit it back in after the first wash. If you are purchasing this for a gift and want to make it more discreet, you can open the box and remove the paper sheet with the semi-nude model
Machine wash by its self or with other dark colors. On the gentle cycle, with cold water. DO NOT BLEACH. Tumble dry on low. Simple enough, right?
I have stored ours at the foot of our bed. Draped over the foot board. Or folded up sitting on the corner of the bed. But you can store this anywhere. In your linen closet, if you have one. On a closet shelve. In the car. Just about any where. After all, it is just a blanket as far as everyone else is concerned. And if you are that concerned about being discreet, you can remove the liberator tag.
Easy to clean
Easy to store
Follow-up commentaryI still like it2 months after original review
This has held up just as well as expected. The colors have not faded. The material has not fell apart. It is a great quality blanket. I would suggest getting the shag throw, it is much softer and slightly bigger. But you really cant go wrong with any liberator product you purchase.
