Feels great! (until exposed to air!)

A nice lube with a good clean consistency, that unfortunately doesn't last very long. Feels pure and smooth on contact, then gets gummier and gummier. Kudos for being animal-friendly!

I was looking for a water-based lube that was free of smells, tastes, and strange preservatives. I wanted it to be glycerin-free and hypoallergenic. I was also trying to find a lube that is vegan, and not tested on animals. Oh, and it has to be reasonably-priced too. Is that too much to ask?

Sliquid H2O lube fits all of the above criteria, (YEA!), but it just doesn't have enough staying power. It comes out smoothly, and feels pure and clean on contact. It doesn't have that cheesy / stringy consistency; I'd say it flows like hot syrup. It's easy to get too much on your hands, and get it all over your toy (or spouse). Just like it's easy to pour too much hot syrup. Mmm. Pancakes.

My only major gripe with this lube is its lack of endurance. It dries out too quickly and leaves behind a light film on your skin. I wouldn't describe the film as sticky, but it's definitely a little tacky.

When it begins to dry out, you can either add more lube or add water, which the label says will "reactivate" the lube. Adding more and more lube will lead to a gummy build up over time, so you should really try adding some water first.

I briefly imagined leaving a small water spray bottle beside the bed for "reactivation" purposes, but the idea of spraying it during the heat of the moment just doesn't seem reasonable. Let's just assume that you're lazy like me, and you just use saliva to "reactivate" it. It still doesn't really feel as great as it should, or last as long as I wish it would.

This lube works fine for sex activities that do not expose it to a lot of air. Like what? Well, like missionary position sex, dildo and butt plug insertion, under-the-covers-brrr-it's-cold-in-here sex, cowgirl-positions (and all variations thereof), and closed-leg sex positions.

It is kind of a hassle to use this lube for doggy style, anal sex, and clit rubbing, since those are activities that seem to expose the lube to more air (for me, anyway). After using this lube, I usually wipe down my nether regions with a wet washcloth to get rid of the sticky.

I'm surprised that it gets sticky since it doesn't have glycerin..I've found lubes with glycerin tend to get sticky but others don't. Too bad it didn't work for you.. thanks for the review!

It's not really "sticky" as much as it's "gummy," like rubber cement. I still use it all the time, but I'm searching for something with more staying power. I think I'm going to try Maximus next.

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

Thanks for the review. Although it's great it's animal friendly and vegan what exactly are the weird preservatives?

I'm talking about things like EDTA, Diazolidinyl Urea, Polyethylene Glycol, basically, any ingredient that I can't pronounce. I try to stick to products with short ingredient lists in the other areas of my life, so why not with lubes?

I'm not exactly thrilled that this lube has both Propylparaben and Methylparaben. I'm also not sure why they advertise it as being free of L-Arginine, since that doesn't seem to be a health hazard. In fact, L-Arginine, taken internally, is used to treat ED : )

I refer you to cosmetic database.com. This is the lube section link. They have TONS of info on all kinds of ingredients that are used in the beauty/health industries. Read most of it with 1/2 a grain of salt, though; you usually need massive doses to see ill effects.
