JO H2O flavored lubricant 1oz - lubricant discontinued by System JO - review by ~LaUr3n~

Overall, this product from JO is good, but this flavor isn't. I have the Pomegranate one, and that one tastes great. Peach, however, was not as peachy as I thought it would be. I was surprised since I loved the pomegranate one. I guess it's hit and miss with these flavors. As a general rules, I'd stick with the more "regular" ones, the ones you see other companies make (strawberry, cherry, watermelon, chocolate, grape, etc.). If you find a good flavor, this flavored water based lubricant can be great for enhancing the experience of giving oral before or after sex. It can be used with toys and for sex alone also, but isn't good for anal or play in the tub or shower since it tends to wash away quickly. During oral, it lasts a long time and doesn't often need to be reapplied. It is safe by being free of L-Arginine, artificial sweeteners, and petro-chemicals. It is safe for sue with all condoms and toys, is non-toxic, and doesn't stain. Some of the ingredients are concerning for some, however.

Propyl Paraben, Methyl Paraben, Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose, Glycerin, Purified Water, Peach flavor

Glycerin and parabens can caused certain individuals who are sensitive to the ingredients to be at a higher risk for UTIs.

This lubricant is water based, but it isn't at all runny. It is smooth and slick, only getting slightly sticky if you use it for a long time and don't reapply. It stays where you put it, for the most part. As you massage it in, it tends to "separate" and not stay uniform across the surface. I didn't notice this with the bottle I bought over a year ago, so I am not sure if the formula was changed for these new flavors or not. You really don't need much at all, just a few drops, for oral use to be affective. The flavor and scent are long lasting. The scent sticks around after you have licked it all up.

This flavored lube now comes in so many different flavors!: Cherry, Raspberry Sorbet, Strawberry, Watermelon, Tropical fruit, Pineapple, Tangerine, Chocolate, Banana, Pomegranate, Peach, and Lemon.

I chose the peach. I LOVE peaches as a fruit, and figured this would be a good fruity flavor that both my partner and I would like since he doesn't like things like strawberry or cherry much. I chose poorly. The peach smells and tastes like medicine. It tastes like this orange flavored cough syrup I had as a kid. HORRIBLE. Although it smells and tastes nothing like peach, it does have a long lasting and strong sweet flavor to it, but I'm not a fan of the harsh aftertaste. It is very unnatural tasting. Since I love the pomeganate, I'm sure not all the flavors are this bad. Again, I suggest staying away from the more exotic ones: peach, lemon, tangerine, pineapple etc. You are probably safest with the more mainstream flavors.

Used for oral sex, this lubricant (in a different flavor) can make giving oral a lot more fun, if you didn't find it fun already. It lasts a long time and doesn't usually need to be reapplied, especially if you are using your own spit quite a bit. This was true when I performed oral on my partner and when he did so for me. We seemed to need even less on me. As for the taste during oral, it made me sick. I literally wanted to gag after awhile. It's just not a good flavor. Mt partner didn't care for it much either, but he liked it more than some of the other flavored lubes we have tried. So, it was win for him, fail for me.

It's not horrible for sex either. It lasts a decent amount of time, and only needs to be reapplied after being used for a long while, usually more than 30 minutes. This is really good for a flavored lubricant! It can get slightly sticky if you are not already naturally lubricated, but reapplying fixes this. We don't prefer to use this lubricant for sex, though. This is due to the glycerin ingredient.

This lubricant is not slick enough or thick enough for anal. It can however be used for analingus play to sweeten things up and remove reserves for a nervous giver or receiver of anal oral. It is also not good for shower or tub play. It washes away to easily.

It is safe to use with condoms and the package states it can be used outside or inside of one. This way, if you pull off the condom and want to give oral, it masks the latex smell.

This version comes in a small, travel friendly bottle. The top is a push to open and doesn't normally leak. It isn't seal tight though. If you squeeze it with the top down, it still will come out. The bottle is about 4 1/4" tall and 1" across, very easy to slip in a purse or drawer. It is discreet in the fact that the sexual language is small. The largest text says "New, H20", "Peachy Lips", and "JO". It has an expiration of 6/2014. That's a really goo shelf life! These little bottles are great as stocking stuffers for friends or as gifts for a bachelorette party.

So, considering the fact that I tried a different flavor first and loved it, I am not going to quit on these lubes. I just happened to not make a good choice for my second try.

I personally think the price of these is too high for what you get - 1 fluid ounce. If you want to try one, just go ahead and get the larger bottle for a few bucks more.
