Sliquid organics natural - lubricant discontinued by Sliquid, LLC - review by MidnightB

I bought this one for us to use as I'm an eczema sufferer and allergic to most creams and lotions so I can only use prescription creams for my face and body; so I was obviously concerned about choosing a good lube; Id hate to be allergic down there...eeep!

I was impressed that you could get an organic lube; this version has a variety of natural products like Hibiscus, flax, green tea and vitamin E. These plant celluloses make the lube nice and slippery naturally.
It is also glycerin and parabens free and not tested on animals either which is a big plus for me!

The Science bit
Its good to know why, I'll be brief I promise;

Glycerin can alter the pH balance in your vagina and may cause yeast infections.
Parabens are preservatives often used in some lubes, but latest studies have shown that it may cause breast cancer so Sliquid have removed them from all their products.

The look

As I opened the box I was very impressed at how feminine the little dark brown bottle looked (similar to medicinal bottles to protect from sunlight) and with the white label and cool blue lotus flower logo, it's very feminine with delicate writing; no one would know at moments glance what this was - it looks like an elegant body lotion bottle.
The squeezy bottle and flick down applicator lid is easy to grab in a hurry and it never leaks or dribbles like some I have used in the past which leaves sticky rings on your furniture!

Texture and Consistency

The clear, tasteless lube isn't too gloopy or runny and has no smell. I found we didn't need to use a lot in 1 go, a little goes a very long way and it gave plenty of slip and slide. Even though it doesn't state anal play we found it was more than slippery enough for that too.

But if you actually know you need a thicker lube I have also used Sliquid Sassy Glycerin-Free Anal Lubricant as it's slightly thicker and specifically for anal-play. But we personally found this adequate for both; saving on buying two separate lubes.

Performance
It also stays put and doesn't run off like some of the thinner lubes or go tacky or dry out, although if it did being water based just add some water and your off again. The other plus is if you get it on your sheets it doesn't leave any stains being water-based it simply washes out.

We also play with a huge variety of toys of different textures and materials. This lube is latex, rubber and plastic friendly as some lubes can degrade the product - even condoms.
So I can happily grab any toy I want to without worrying about the lube damaging it in the long term.

(Obviously you cant use this in the shower or bath or for any water-play; so you'll need to choose a silicon based lube).

I haven't found any problems at all with this lovely lube - it glides beautifully on the skin. I can't speak for everyone, but I wasn't allergic to this at all even after longer play sessions; it was absolutely perfect.

We both love it and I wouldn't be without it now and it's always at grab-able distance in my bedside drawer.

As I'm allergic to many lotions, lubes and creams I was concerned about choosing a lube as I certainly didn't want to be allergic down there. I have often had to go to the Dr's with UTI's or thrush after trying yet another lube.
It was fantastic not to feel the usual itching and burning after using a new lube for the 1st time - thank you Sliquid.

I needn't have worried this was perfect; what a huge relief and it even left my skin soft and moisturised. I had no reaction at all except for complete bliss.

I still love this water-based lube, as an person who suffers with eczema I have extremely sensitive skin. Sometimes I can use a product and a few months down the line suddenly out the blue become allergic to it.

But this lube is still brilliant for using both vaginally and anally for us and we will definitely be sticking to the Sliquids organics, with no want or need to change to another.
It still glides well and this little bottle has lasted so well, a little has gone a very long way and we still have a quarter of a bottle after 2 months of regular use.
The consistency hasn't changed in the last few months, unlike some lubes which may thicken or alter color with time, this is still as good as new.
