Wet look thigh high stockings - thigh highs discontinued by Coquette - review by The scientist

I was really excited by these wet look stockings, as I thought they had the potential to give a "thigh high boot" look. I am a size 12-14 with larger thighs and calves. Finding a pair of calf high boots is a chore, so forget about thigh highs! Knowing this, I opted for the plus sized version of these stockings. There is nothing more uncomfortable (not to mention less flattering) than being stuffed into hosiery. I was expecting the stockings to come in a more condensed initial state than they ended up being, and unfortunately the stockings ended up being too big.

With that in mind, I am unable to fully comment on the versatility and beauty of these stockings because they just didn't fit. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the structure in the ankle and foot was a little strange and left the fabric bunched and unattractive. I believe this was exacerbated by the larger size of my stockings.

The fabric felt a little cheap in my hands, but looked and felt interesting on. The fabric was breathable and had a nice amount of stretch to it. I will also say that even had they fit properly, they would have needed a garter belt, as they rolled down my legs really easily.

I had really high hopes for these, and wish that I had gotten them in the smaller size. In the future, it would be really nice if more precise measurements could be included for one size fits most vs plus sized merchandise. Thigh circumference is a pretty quick and painless measurement to take. It sounds like that information could have saved several ladies some trouble.

Still, I hope Coquette continues to push the hosiery envelope, because affordable hosiery is a great way to add pizazz to your existing lingerie collection.
