The best use for the Amante is to insert vaginally , but it also worked great for clitoral stimulation. It could be used to stimulate other areas of the body, but I would not use this anally because it has no flared base. Even with the retrieval cord it would be very possible for this little egg to get "lost". It is discreet and waterproof so it could be used just about anywhere. Would be a great toy for couples who are wanting to spice things up by sharing discreet toy play in a public place. Just your little secret!

The Amante egg is constructed of plastic with a smooth, soft silicone coating. The silicone is odor free, non-porous, and phthalate free with the only downfall being that this little baby does attract "fuzzies" so you will want to give it a quick wipe down before playtime. The egg has two wavy raised lines on the top and two raised lines on the bottom that can't really be felt when inserted vaginally. The controller is made of a very slick plastic so you definitely want to keep lube away from it during play, not only to prevent damage to the controller but so that it doesn't become too slippery to hold onto!

I love the size of this egg. It's not too big, not too small, and would probably suit a lot of women. It's 5 1/2" long with tail, the insertable egg part is 2 3/4" in length, 4 1/2" in circumference, 1 1/4" in diameter, and weighs in at 5.5 oz. The egg has 2 wavy ridges on the top and 2 curved ridges on the bottom for texture but they really can't be felt when inserted vaginally. The retrieval cord has a thicker bulb on the end to make it easier to get a good grip when removing. A plastic seam runs around the middle of the egg (the opposite direction that the seam/closure runs on most plastic Easter eggs) where the battery compartment slides open and closed.You want to push really hard when closing to make sure that it is sealed. The controller is just a bit longer than the egg, and is contoured to fit in the hand nicely. It features two lighted control buttons. (nice for playing in the dark or a dimly lit room) One is a designated on/off button and the other takes you through the 7 lovely functions that the egg features. Being that the egg is inserted vaginally no one will even have a clue and since the remote is pretty small, if seen the person probably would have a clue what it was.

The egg itself is powered by 2 N sized batteries and features nice deep rumbly vibrations when inserted vaginally. The vibrations are located in the tip of the egg (opposite of the retrieval cord), and they carry though the whole egg well. There are 7 different nice strong vibration patterns. Three are low, medium, high vibration and the other 4 are different pattern settings. The egg is waterproof and I dunked it in water to clean it with no malfunctions. When inserted, the egg is very quiet and I'm doubting anybody else would overhear this unless when on the higher settings they were right next to you in a very quiet room and even then they wouldn't have any idea what it was (maybe a cell phone set on vibrate?). The controller is powered by one 12V battery and has 2 buttons, one designated off/ on button and the other is used to cycle through the vibration settings. It fits in the hand nicely and the buttons are super easy to push.

Caring for this little egg is pretty easy. To clean just use your favorite toy cleaner or warm soap and water. You will want to use waterbased lube with this one and not silicone based as it could damage the toy. I keep mine stored in the box in the little paperboard box it came in.

The Amante came packaged in a small paperboard box that has cut outs where the remote and egg rest. Included inside are batteries so you don't have to run out and hunt them to get started playing and some basic battery instructions that i didn't find particularly helpful. The outside of the box pictures the product and it advertises some of the toys features along with a few care instructions listed on the bottom.
