As the female partner in a M-F relationship and in the spirit of full disclosure, let me just say that I am a huge fan of the entire genre of bullet and egg vibrators. The Couture collection Amante, being our first wireless version.

The Amante is well suited for vaginal use, nipple use or any other place you like a little tingle! Rather you are in the mood for solo play or have your partner(s) involved, the Amante is a useful addition to any escapade of pleasure. The insertable bullet is waterproof, but the control does not appear to be.

The device is not designed for internal anal use.

The instertable bullet is made from silicone with the remote of hard plastic. The texture of the silicone may require a small amount of water based lube to be inserted vaginally if you are not properly self-lubricated.

The bullet is sized large enough to be noticed, but not so large to be uncomfortable.

The remote is close in size to the bullet and sits well in most typical hand sizes, and would fit easily in a pocket (though the control buttons could be unintentionally pressed).

One great feature of the bullet is the flexible removal cord. It is comfortable and helps remove the device. This feature (along with its silicon materials) is what pushed us to pick this device over others and we were not disappointed.

The bullet features three basic pulses in 7 different functions.

1. The first setting is very low; maybe even a little too low, but a good starting point. This setting is great for public use, but the intial start-up of device is a half second pulse on high before it lowers to the correct setting. It is a little jolting at first, but not a significant negative.

2. The second setting is just a bit more than one. Nice...very nice!

3. Oh YEA!!!! Setting three is definitely the power of 1+2! I found this setting too intense for the beginning of a session, but after some time at the other settings, three is really, really, really AWESOME! This setting is noticable in my quiet bedroom, but not in a resturant.

4. This setting starts out on a low setting and rises to a crescendo of intensity. Not really my thing, but it could be yours!

5 and 6. Both are a steady pulse; one slower the other a little stronger.

7. Sort of a morse code pulsing. Not bad, but I personally preferred building up from one to three.

The setting should give you enough options to find the right tingle for you.

The remote is very simple and has two buttons. One is on/off and the other is the mode. The modes simply cycles from 1 to 7 and repeat.

As a wireless remote, the potential for public use is high (and highly recommended). In most public locations the sounds is not noticeable. On several occasions, I (with the bullet inserted) thought the sound could be heard but my partner (in charge of the remote) could not hear it. Any setting but one or two might be noticeable in a quiet setting or a confined location (i.e. in a car with another couple..hehe). I am sure body type, clothing and the like would effect the sound level outside the body.

When wearing the bullet outside (i.e. up against a man's balls, or pressed between your panties and clit), the sound is noticeable. The noise level might be just enough to pique your voyeuristic tendencies, or too much for your shy nature to handle.

The rounded design and silicone material allows for your male partner's cock (or similar shaped object) and the bullet to be both inserted in you as a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED method of sharing. Just don't fight over the remote! Corded bullets have not worked well for us in this manner, as the cord becomes a source of abrasion for one or both of us.

The bullet is made out of silicone, cleaning is easy. I much prefer glass and silicone to other materials, due to safety and cleanliness. The slight texture will collect some lint if you store it against other fabrics. The hard plastic of the remote is acceptable; though the buttons are open and not sealed.

The packaging is basic and suitable for wrapping with G-rated graphics on the box. See-through portions will give away the contents.

Instructions are limited but adequate given the simplicity of use.
