Vanity is well deserved if I was this toy I would be high on myself too!
The Jopen Vanity vr8 is an awesome, versatile, luxury vibe. Perfect for G-spot stimulation and thrusting, it's 2 unique ends are fun fun fun!! Made of smooth medical grade silicone, you can use it anywhere, including underwater and not worry about safety. It's powerful, two motors are separately controlled, and easy to use. Jopen vibrators are rechargeable and covered by warranty so this is an toy worth investing in.
The Vr8 is part of Jopen'sVanity line. It's a dual ended G-spot vibe that can be used anywhere on the body for stimulation or working out muscle tension. It's rather small to be used by two orifices on two separate bodies but it's great if you want to go back and forth.
One end is great for thrusting and the other is great for what I call G-spot 'scratching' since it has a specially designed pointed tip, off of the rounded head. The girthier end can be used for massage and would be great in fact for working out kinks in muscles.
Seeing as how this is a luxury vibe with one rumbly end and one buzzy end, male or female, beginner or connesieur, any erogenous zone would appreciate its energy.
The only thing that is out is anal, or at least be very careful and only do this if you have lots of experience with penetration of you or your partners behind, because without a flared base, there's a chance that this could get lost inside.
The vr8 is made of non-porous, hypoallergenic silicone, a 10 on the Eden safety scale, which is also phthalates and latex free. This all means that as long as you clean it properly between uses or orifices, it is safe to share. The silicone is bright purpley fuchsia, the one color that Jopen Vanities (as this line is called) come in. The texture is smooth, soft, and mildly cushy though the toy does have a hard plastic core and is not very flexible. It does have some drag, so you probably want to use a nice water-based lube to alleviate the wrong kind of friction. It doesn't have any seams, which when present don't bother me anyway, and the silicone is all one piece. Even the raised buttons are just part of the over all skin effect, no visible plastic here!
Jopens silicone does have a chemically smell and taste when it first arrives, but that washes away easily enough.
I love the way the vr8 is shaped. It is dual ended with the following dimensions
L 8"
Il 4"-8" depending on if you care if the buttons are inside you (probably unfelt)
D 1 1/4"
C 4 3/4"
W .3lb
I am not a size queen, in fact I can't handle a toy with a bigger circumference than this, but I love that it had two ends so I can switch it up if I'm feeling like I'm not getting enough or if it is a little too much.
One end is the perfect size for thrusting, while the other can be used upright or upside down for 2 different types of G-spot stimulation. The thrusting end is not perfectly round and the other end has a little sort of nub or tip off of a small round head with a thinner neck ( see photo) that is perfect for scratching that insanely pleasurable itch.
I wish it was more flexible but it is versatile enough with its 2 unique ends so I think that most people will find a way to seriously enjoy the vr8.
Traveling isn't simple with a rechargeable luxury vibe but the design and lack of visible controls make this fairly discreet. All it needs is the included nice pouch and you can tuck it in your suitcase or purse. If you are really concerned about nosy eyes just carry the charger and toy separately. If going through customs say it's a "personal massager with a dry battery" which is true but doesn't reveal anymore than necessary.
There are 2 motors in this toy, one in each end. The thicker end is rumbly and reaches 4 vrooms, while the other end only reaches 3. For clit toys I need at least 4 vrooms, but internally I'm happy with 3, so I was okay with it. It's super quiet- 1 maybe 1.5 bees at the most.
There is a button for each motor, each is located in approximately the middle of the vr8. They are pushed easily and do occasionally get triggered by accident but you can just hold further down and avoid this problem. Operation is simple. Push each one down until you reach the desired strength. Some people will be bothered by the lack of patterns but personally I prefer to just turn them on high and leave them that way. Shut off is rather simple- one touch or hold down until decreased fully.
It's great underwater, just as strong and because there are no moving parts or open ports you don't have to worry.
The charger can be used with all Jopens as well as Leaf toys. It's the type that reminds me of giving someone a shot, because it's shaped like a pin or needle and you have to literally puncture the silicone skin in just the right spot to fully connect the charger. Charge overnight initially and whenever you think of it after. It should last a few hours but I don't want it to run out so I'm not exactly sure how long.
When charging the buttons will glow red just like they do when in use.
Silicone has a few special needs. It does not play well with others of its kind. Both with lube and with storage, the surface cannot come into contact with other silicone, as it will bond together and deteriorate.
Some people say that oil based lube is fine, but I prefer to stick to a water-based version like Intimate Organics Defense.
Clean up is simple, wash with anti-bacterial soap and warm water or a 10% bleach solution. Silicone dildos without motors can be boiled, but vibrators cannot.
It comes with a soft black pouch with more than ample room for both the vr8 and the charger.
Since the vanities are luxury items, I would have expected fancy packaging but Jopen has kept it fairly simple. I do appreciate the included soft back pouch but the white cardboard box is nothing special. The one thing that it does have going for it is that it is very discreet. White box, purple logo not much more. Inside, the vibrator sits in a thin cardboard form with the charger, pouch and instruction/catalogue booklet underneath.
You could easily use this as a gift or storage box as the lid fits snug over top of the bottom and it is recyclable.
Jopen vanities and the Leaf line are powered by italic|powerbullet which is a super strong bullet rivaled only by plug-in toys like the couture inspire. Oddly enough, or maybe it's just a marketing ploy to get you to spend more money, not every toy has the same strength. You can however be assured that most PowerBullets are 4 vrooms, occasionally 5 and once in awhile 3-never ever less.
I bought this toy from another contributer for the amazing price of $45! I practically begged her for it. When it arrived I was so excited because I used to have the vr6 and loved loved loved the power but couldn't handle the shape. Unfortunately the vr8 wasn't as powerful as the vr6 (guess it has nothing to do with cars) but I don't need the same level of vibrations internally, so I did not mind. It took me awhile to get comfortable with the thicker end as I have a small vagina. I'm not exceptionally tight, just small. Any bigger than a 4.5"C and I'm not having fun but there are times when this is just the right size and I like that it's not perfectly round. The other end though, I like for G-spot stimulation. It had this little lip on the edge that seems to scratch me just right. I would like it if the small end was curved a little different but it's fun either way. I have had my eye on the Vr2 because it is a bit different shape that I think I will enjoy, but I for now I'm pleased with this one. So many of the vanities appeal to me but it really all depends on ergonomics.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it5 months after original review
I still love the vr8. Actually I just love the vanity line in general. I love the colour, the texture (very smooth and soft), the flexibility (lots), the shape ( especially the smaller end) and of course all the luxury features. I have also acquired the vr2 and I like them both. It's still charging well and lasting a long time. I'm not sure what else I can say- it works great and I highly recommend it.
