Do you Dare?

I think this game would be much better if more cards were included (even though there are 120). After you get through all the cards, you can become bored with the game because there isn't anything new for you and your partner to try.

Pros
simple to understand, make your own rules, dares aren't too out there.
Cons
best played once, older couples might not enjoy, not enough cards.

Purpose / Audience

Even though this game might be geared for newer couples wanting to get to know each other, this game is also great for couples who have been together longer because it asks truths you may have never thought of and dares you probably never even considered before. The goal for this game is certainly to get you to explore your partner a little more and act out fantasies that you may have been afraid to try in the past. This game will help you feel more comfortable if you're in a fresh relationship and maybe a little more open if you're in a long-term relationship. Either way you're sure to have a lot of fun!

Rules / Content

The rules are simple, the instructions that are printed on the box say, "Spread the cards out face down, then take turns with your guy/girl picking one at a time. Whenever one of you selects a card, the other person must choose truth or dare. Once the choice is made, the person holding the card reads the challenge out loud and the other person must take it!" There is no right or wrong way to play this game and there isn't a winner or loser, so you could easily make up your own rules like, if you choose to not do a dare you must remove one piece of clothing! Don't mind the 3 different colors that the cards come in, the colors actually have very little to do with the game itself. From my understanding the different colors are just different categories of foreplay (I still haven't really figured out what's what). With this game its so easy to get carried away and just move on to the dirty, so be careful!

Design

Cosmo designed this game very well. The cards all come in a nice sturdy pink box with a magnetic cover. The box isn't much bigger than a normal size deck of playing cards, so you can take it pretty much anywhere. You can easily put the cards right back into the box after playing so you never have to worry about losing any. The cards themselves aren't any differently made than your average playing cards, but if well taken care of there shouldn't be any reason for them to tear up. Some of the challenges can be rather messy (i.e. putting chocolate sauce all over your partner and licking it off) so be prepared!

Personal comments

My personal opinion about this game is it was very well made and brings lots of excitement into the bedroom! The down side to this game is that some of the dares require you to get things from other areas of the house (chapstick, ice, chocolate sauce) and that can get old pretty quickly. Not only might you have to get things from other places in the house, some dares also want you to go in other rooms and act out dares. For example go into the kitchen and make dinner. If you're limited on privacy and have children, it can make it hard to act out some of these dares. It doesn't take away from the fun of the game though, you can always just skip a card one of you really doesn't want to do and move on to the next one.

Experience

My partner and I got lots of enjoyment from this game. We really had fun trying things we never thought of and opening up more to each other's sexual needs. I would say newer couples would have more fun with the deck than couples dating long-term, however my husband and I had as much fun playing this game as other games we have that require long-term relationships. Another downside might be you could only play each card once because the truths might become boring after you already know the answer.
