Purpose / Audience

The Cosmo's Truth or Dare card game comes in a stand up card case and it includes 120 cards of Truth Or Dare! This card game is pretty basic and would be best designed for those that are in newer relationships, or maybe relationships where you're just getting to know each other a little better. This fun and flirty game can definitely open the doors to "other possibilities" and even start motors if played just right! If you're not so new to your relationship, this card game may seem a little dull, but who knows...maybe you'll hear answers to questions you thought you knew, but see just how wrong you were! Basically, this is one of those "Ice Breaker" games.

Rules / Content

This game is about as easy as it gets. And, you can also tailor it to your own rules too!

Each card has two tasks on it. You first draw a card. Then, you ask the person (without showing or reading them the card) "Which do you choose? Truth or dare?" When they choose their task, then you see what the card says.

On the top of the cards you have "Truth" and on the bottom half of the cards you have "Dare". The truth part of the card has a question that you must ask the other person and they have to answer you truthfully. The dare part of the card has a dare that you read to them and they have to do it.

Of course, you can always add in your own twists. My wife and I decided that we would do a "sexy twist". If you chose something (truth or dare) and after hearing the task, you didn't want to go through with it, you would then have to take a "punishment" to get out of doing that task or answering that truth. Usually it was something along the lines of "Give me a blow job" or "Massage my back for 5 minutes" or something to that effect. Which is really nice and can definitely get things going a lot faster!
    • Can make your own rules
    • Easy to play

Design

The design of this card game is really nice. If you have a bookshelf that you don't mind these being out on, you can set them upwards on its side and slide it onto a shelf. However, remember that this IS a sex/adult game. If you have children that have access to this bookshelf, I would recommend it go elsewhere. We placed ours on the bottom shelf of our wooden night stand. It sits up perfectly. The box is very sturdy cardboard.

The box itself is a small box, with a top flap style cover that reaches from one side to the other. The one side is attached to the box. The other has a magnet inside of it, and "snaps shut" when its lowered onto the box, magnetized to the side. It's not a "surefire" way to keep it closed though, so we made sure to stick a rubber band around it, JUST in case. It does seem pretty sturdy though!

On the inside of the flap are instructions to the game, there is an inside flap that rests over the top of the box and covers the cards. There is also a small plastic window so that you can see the cards.
    • Attractive design
    • Lots of pieces
    • Sturdy game board
Follow-up commentary
We gave a few of our games a shot, and honestly found that they were somewhat fun, but not for us. There were a few things about the cards or the games that we found were nice or maybe something new for us, but after being together for so long, I think that most of the ideas or suggestions on these were just much too "old news" for us. If you're a beginner though, I would highly recommend these. If you're more of a "seasoned couple" then you might want to look elsewhere. I suppose they aren't bad for a rainy afternoon *just because* kind of thing though.
