Cosmo's truth or dare - love game by Hearst - review by Illumin8

Cosmo's Truth or Dare is geared towards couples. My wife and I have used it on several occasions, and it has very nicely added some variety to the bedroom. This is one of those games that, depending on your approach to it, could be seen as being potentially better for newer couples. However, it shouldn't fall only into this category, as it can easily be great for couples of any experience level as well!

The game is very simple and straightforward, as it is just a naughty twist on the widely known game of Truth or Dare. Very succinct instructions are found printed on the inside of the box for those unfamiliar with the flow of the game.

Just take all of the cards, and lay them face down. Next, you and your partner take turns in choosing one from the pile. Whoever chooses the card must then ask their partner if they prefer truth or dare. Once they've chosen, read the corresponding item from the card and follow through with what it asks!

There are a total of 120 cards, which means you'll be able to play for hours without ever getting through all of these. I've included a few examples below of some of the truths and dares found on the cards:



Truth: What's the naughtiest thing you've ever looked at online?
Dare: Stimulate two parts of my body at once. Use your hands on one part and lips on another.
Truth: What's the naughtiest thing you've ever done in the shower?
Dare: You have 20 seconds to come up with a dirty joke and tell it to me. Go!

This is also one of those games that could easily be modified to fit your and your partner's liking, as the "rules" are minimal.

The game comes packaged in a small, pink box. If you own or have seen Cosmo's Steamy Sex Games, the design and feel of the box and cards is equivalent. On the cover of the box is the title, "Cosmo's Truth or Dare," accompanied by a picture of a couple in the sheets. The top cover of the box remains shut due to a magnetic flap on the side. Pull this flap away from the box, and the cover easily folds back to reveal the contents.

As previously mentioned, the instructions for the game are printed on the inside of the cover. The cards can be seen through a small, plastic window that also easily folds back to allow access.



The cards are all printed in very bright and rich colors, as can also be seen in the pictures.

This was one of the gifts that we received from friends when we got married. Along with this game, we also received Cosmo's Steamy Sex Games. While both of these games have brought some interesting ideas into our bedroom, they have a very similar feel to them. If you already own Steamy Sex Games, you know that it includes not just one game, but also rather several different games. One of these is "Dirty Truth or Dare," which is almost identical to this game. So, unless you are just dying for some new truth or dare cards to play with, I'd recommend maybe just sticking with Steamy Sex Games. However, if you don't own Steamy Sex Games, then this may be an excellent game for your and your partner to try out.

One complaint that I've heard surrounding the games that Cosmo has manufactured is that they're only good for inexperienced couples or "beginners" in the bedroom. I very much disagree. The great thing about this game, in particular, is that it could very easily be used by individuals on either side of the spectrum. New couples can learn fun tidbits about what their partner likes in bed through the "Truth" items, and more experienced couples can bring some variety into their routine through the "Dare" items. Of course, regardless of whether or not you're a beginner or advanced user, you can achieve some pretty hot results from any of these cards if your approach is right!
