A Toy To Grow On

Great for those that already have a few anal toys around 1.25" - 1.75" in diameter and are looking for a prostate massager that will not only stimulate the prostate but the entire surrounding area as well. I would recommend something smaller for those just starting out. While the price is high this toy will, given enough time, provide more stimulation than most other toys.

Use

The Progasm is an anal toy designed to stimulate the prostate. Unlike most toys, where what you get the first time you use it is all you get, this toy is designed to be trained with and hopefully feel better with time. It's not designed be used in a hurry, since the muscles need to relax before it can be used properly, so make sure you can commit some time to this toy. I'm not sure how it would function for females; but, as a man, I can say that at the moment this ranks up there in my top two or three favorite toys. What's really great about this style of toy is that you do not need to use your hands (and are encouraged not to) and so it lets you do other things at the same time.

The Progasm can be used during intercourse; although, I don't use it that way very often. Besides my practice sessions of trying to get a Super-O (still working on that), my favorite use for this toy by far is while I'm giving my wife oral sex. Sometimes it takes a while for her to get an orgasm and I can start to get a little bit bored or tired. With this toy in me though, I am getting stimulation from the toy as well as the turn on from the pleasure I am giving my wife. Very fun. I think I've heard some people talk about using these for long term wear, but I've never been able to find a plug that is comfortable enough for that. I have a few ideas of ones I may get soon that will, but for now no long-term wear for me. I won't say it's impossible, but at least on me the little nub at the bottom with the word Progasm on it hits the chair when sitting down.

One tip I think I read in another review was to angle the toy when inserting it so that the top part is going in straight, and then as you get to the part where its angle changes turn it counterclockwise as you push it in. One other thing that helps is to lube up both the toy and your butt and rub it against the outside of your anus front to back, back to front to help relax the muscles.

Material / Texture

The Progasm is made of hard plastic (mine is dark blue). It's fairly heavy, not nearly as much as glass, but still has some weight to it. I would say it is fairly good material. It can't be sterilized like silicone, glass, or metals but it is non-porous which helps less lube do more than with a porous toy. It also helps make cleanup easier (can easily be washed off in the shower) and helps to avoid smells from sticking to it or color degradation. The plastic is smooth. I do not see any seams or anything like that on mine except for on the bottom of the base of it where it says Progasm and this obviously isn't going inside of you or touching your skin, so that's fine.

Design / Shape / Size

I also have the Aneros MGX and I will say that this toy is MUCH bigger than that one. This one still doesn't require a warm up toy for me (but may for some), but sometimes I use one as it takes away the initial discomfort that I sometimes feel if I'm not loose enough. I would recommend if you are new to anal play that you look more at one of the smaller Aneros toys, as there is always the possibility that the Progasm may be too big for you; it's always better to increase in size because the last one felt so good rather than have to buy another toy because this one is too big for you. For those that are more experienced and are now getting into the hands free prostate stimulator toy department, I would recommend this toy over the other Aneros toys.

I know some people like the size/shape of the other smaller models because they focus more on the slight movements that can trigger a Super-O, but I prefer the size and shape of the Progasm. I guess the best way to explain why is that it's like the others are more focusing on stimulating my prostate, where as this one focuses more on the entire area including the nerves around the anal opening which a lot times for me actually feels even better than prostate stimulation.

One other big difference between this toy and the rest of the Aneros line is the p-spot tab in front. On all the other ones it's flat on the sides and after having it in for a while can start to hurt. This one is round and feels much better. I know there is another company that makes one called the Euphoria enhanced which has a rounded p-tab and is smaller than the Progasm. I don't have experience with this toy, but it may be a good alternative if you are new to anal play and think the p-spot tab on the other Aneros ones might hurt you like it hurts me after a while.

Performance

As I said, while I've still not gotten a Super-O from the Progasm, the stimulation from it still feels very good. I think the best way to describe it would be that it turns me on and makes me want more. This is something I don't experience nearly as much with any of my other toys. This is the biggest of the Aneros models but I still have the desire for something a little bigger after I am warmed up with the Progasm. One quibble I have, and this is really very small, is that this model has a back tab that is supposed to stimulate your tale bone I believe. While the front tab doesn't bother me at all, the back one sometimes can get a little uncomfortable. I've heard of people actually cutting it off but I'm not too big on modifying my toys and it's no where near as bad as the p-tab on the MGX I have so no big deal.

Care and Maintenance

As I said, this toy is made out of plastic making it compatible with all available lubricants which is nice. It's non-porous, so cleanup is easy with some soap and water. It can not be sterilized though so if you are going to share a condom may be a good idea. Another nice thing about it being made out plastic is that, unlike other types of toys, you don't have to worry about it touching other toys and having something happen to it which is nice. Just like silicone or other high quality materials like it, with proper care it should last a very long time. Mine still looks brand new and I've had for over a year.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

I don't remember what the packaging it came in was. I think it was in a plain bag or something simple; I would probably have remembered it more if it had come in something with pornography on, as I don't look at it for religious reasons and I like products/companies that don't have it. It did not have anything to store it in; but, as I said, you don't have to worry about it touching other toys like with silicone and you don't have to worry about it breaking like with glass so that's not too big an issue.
    • Discreet looking packaging

Experience

I love this toy. I've often thought about if I could only have a few of my toys what they would be and this one would definitely be on the list. I have enjoyed my time so far with this toy and plan to continue to regularly using it in the future.
Follow-up commentary
So having had this toy for well over a year, this is still the best "investment" if you can call that in a toy I've ever made. I just recently got the Nexus Excel thinking if the Progasm feels this good then the Excel would feel even better. WRONG! The Progasm is still the best prostate massager I've ever used and sees more use than any other toy I have. About the only thing I still don't like is it has a tendency to fall out if you stand up or try to have sex with it in but other than that this toy is versatile enough that everyone should have it... well at least the guys anyways.
