Almost delightful.

If you're looking for an intermediate to advanced plug that will gobble up all of your condoms, you've found the right toy. The Crystal Jellies Plug is a highly porous toy that will require extra special care and time. The graduated ridges do give interesting sensations, but there are other toys available with the same shape that will be a 10 on the safety scale, unlike this one.

extremely useful review
Doc Johnson kickstarted my anal adventures with the Crystal Jellies Anal Delight. As a novice, I admit I did not do all of the homework and research as I should have, and I ended up with this low-grade material anal plug in my toybox, making its way to the trash bin.

The Crystal Jellies Delight greeted me in it's simple plastic clamshell casing. It was nothing special and not meant for storage, so I pitched it. Immediately I was impressed and a little taken back by the size of this thing! It measures 5.5" in length with 5" insertable, 4.75" circumference and 1.5" in diameter. The plug has 4 small ridges with one final and very large ridge to get past. Whether you fall anywhere between beginner to advanced, this toy would suit a variety of users. For beginners, I would suggest only going up to the fourth bulb. The last large bulb was difficult for me to get in and will require much more warm-up and practice for some, depending upon your experience level!

Insertion was quite the task for me, but I found a couple of things I liked about it. The "neck" of the toy (where your anal opening clenches around the base of the toy) was very thin and this allowed the toy to stay in very well. The flared base was also important, because it prevents the toy from getting lost inside the anal cavity. The Crystal Jellies is also moderately squishy and floppy, which "gives" with your body and makes for a comfortable experience.

The size, shape and "wiggliness" is what appealed to me initially, however unfortunately, this toy has some major drawbacks. Jelly is a porous material and should not be used without a condom over it. This can become very expensive, as you cannot sterilize the material and need a barrier between yourself and the toy. Do not attempt to boil or dishwash a jelly toy!

I am not particularly sensitive to odors, but this still reeks, even after 4-5 months, of that oh so unforgettable jelly smell. The fact that the scent has lingered for so long concerns me, and although a condom is used during use, it gets frequent washes to ease my mind that no chemicals are secreting from it. Phalates, a harmful chemical used to make plastics and commonly used in low-grade toys, have been linked to imbalances and issues within the body. Use this toy with caution, seeing as the jelly scent is a red flag to me that this may be made with Phalates.

All in all, alternatives to this toy are available. I predict many users will grow tired of using condoms over this plug. It would be less expensive in the long-run to buy a sterilizable silicone plug of similar shape. Loving your body means more than giving yourself pleasure, it also means using body-smart toys!
Follow-up commentary
I haven't had any reasons to use this product more, as it's unsafe for me and I am not willing to sacrifice my health or to waste condoms. Unfortunately I will be throwing it away and investing in something bodysafe. I suggest silicone for any anal toys as they are bleachable, boilable and dishwasher safe.
