Grab a jelly.. but do not jam it.

So all in all, I feel that this is a great choice for beginners to anal play. It's a perfect size with graduating bulbs and it's flared base makes it the right choice for an anal toy. If you are just getting into anal and are leery about paying a pretty penny, try the Anal Delight, but make sure you have condoms to use in unison!

Use

The crystal jellies Anal Delight was my first 'anal-only' toy purchase. I have a few toys that are dual use, but I reasoned when purchasing this anal probe that, in spending about 12 dollars for it, if I was unhappy... I wouldn't be at a total loss.
I'm pleased with my purchase for the most part.
The Anal Delight is most obviously meant for anal use and that is what I use mine for. I believe the Anal Delight could probably be one of the best 'beginner' toys for anal play, because of the give in the jelly material, and the size of the anal probe itself. (I will cover material and size further on in my review.)
The best use that I have found for the Anal Delight is when it is used during intercourse and also masturbation.

Material / Texture

The Crystal Jellies Anal Delight is most obviously made of jelly material. The Jelly material being SIL-A-Gel which is cadmium free, latex free, non-toxic, and anti-bacterial.
This product, being made of jelly, may make some buyers detract from purchasing this toy, but friends the jelly material is in fact a wonderful starter material for anal toys. Just as long as you care for your toy well and cover it with a condom before use, which I highly recommend. (Care will be covered further down.)
The Anal delight is squishy, but not too squishy to make it hard to insert. It has 5 bulbous ribs and a flared base to make anal play safe.
When worn, the 'give' and the smooth texture of the material, make it comfortable to wear for the entire session, and is a great addition to aid with double penetration.

The Jelly material Sil-A-Gel is actually comprised of... what? No seriously.. what, I'm asking you?
I do not know! It's like the lunch cart "whatsthatmeat".
What I *DO* know is... that it is highly porous and it can retain body fluids and/or smells! So that makes sharing your Anal Delight a total NO-NO, unless of course you first cover it with a condom!
Although I do not recommend sharing any type of porous toys, because I'd never like to take that chance.

The Anal Delight also has a fruity smell to it. No one can seem to agree if it's cherry or blueberry, but I will say that its fruity. Pleasant fruity, not disturbingly strong, but It did smell up my toy cabinet!

Design / Shape / Size

The Anal Delight is 5 1/2 inches long with 5" of insertable length and flared base. The base measures about 2"x1 1/2" and actually rests very comfortably in the crack of your ass. It measures 3" around the top bulb and 4 1/2" around at the largest point.

This toy doesn't have a realistic look or color to it, which is also a reason why I purchased it. Its kinda cute looking in its own little anal toy way.

The size and shape of this toy make it a fantastic choice for beginners, you can gradually insert it one bulb at a time.

I wouldn't consider this toy discrete in the least. It looks like an anal toy and that is exactly what it is. When traveling I would definitely put this in my luggage to be checked in and not carried on. This wouldn't be very "delight"-ful to be pulled out of a carry-on when getting ones bags checked by airport security. Although this may be a very fun choice for a toy for travel, and or vacation.

Performance

I love the both the shape and texture of the anal delight. It is a comfortable anal toy, meaning that you could wear it for an extended period of time and not really mind at all.
When fully inserted, it gives the feeling of fullness, but is not in the way when used during intercourse. The Jelly material makes it a great choice to wear during masturbation with toys also, because other materials like glass or wood may make it less comfortable for DP.
I use this toy for anal use only, because of it's material (Sil-A-Gel). I'm not planning on swapping it back and forth in both orifices and would recommend buying two of these if you want to try it both vaginally and anally. (Or cover it with a condom and hope for the best.. but I'm just sayin'... one hole only for a porous toy, is my theory.)
Hey, at 12 bucks, you could buy three and still have money left for a yummy lunch.
I believe the Anal Delight should receive a 4 star rating, because it feels great. If it was made of a more body safe material I could give it a 5 star rating but that may change the way that the toy feels. Who knows.

Care and Maintenance

You should always cover jelly toys with a condom before use and also clean your jelly toy after use. To wash your toy you can either use a mild soap or toy cleanser and warm water. This toy is very easily cleaned. Jelly material, unfortunately, can NOT be boiled to sanitize. That is the reason why you must always cover a jelly toy and why you should never share a jelly toy.

To store my Anal Delight, I keep it in a lint free toy pouch inside my toy curio. This toy is fairly small and can easily be stored in a drawer or plastic container for under the bed storage. I do recommend that you either keep the original package or invest in a toy pouch or plastic zip-lock bag. This toys material will pick up all lint, hair, dust etc, that it comes into contact with.

The Anal Delight is compatible with both silicone or water based lubricants; so if you have a favorite, that's a plus. Be aware that some lubricants can deteriorate some condom materials, so only use a lubricant that is compatible with the condom that you are using over your toy.

Packaging

The toy was packaged in the typical Doc Johnson plastic clam shell pack. Nothing special. It is easily popped opened with out a knife or scissors and can be reused as storage. Personally I chose not to reuse the packaging because of its size.
The toy is quite small and the package is a little overkill if you ask me. Kinda a waste of plastic. It measures about 13" tall x 5" wide x 2" at its thickest point. Overkill. Lets go green Doc.

Personal comments

I also found this quote on the packaging... "Grab a Jellie and Jam!" Please do NOT jam anything up your ass, as you will most likely damage your delicate anal tissue!

I understand that Doc may just be referring to jam as a figure of speech, like "jam out", but I feel that some people may take something like this seriously.

Anal play is a very delicate matter and should be treated very kindly.

This is my personal account of my experience with this toy and yours may differ. I purchased this toy on my own and was not given any type of compensation for this review.

Good that you recommended a condom. That material is quite nasty without, especially anally. I believe I was burned by that kind of material in my very early experimenting with toys. It disintegrates eventually.

Thanks Lauren! I've yet to be burned but that's probably because I always cover jelly toys.

If I'm not mistaken it's oil-based lubricants that are not compatible with the latex condoms. Thanks for the review.

Nice review. When I see jelly I see a flashback to sex toys. But yeah covered with a condom why not give them a chance once again.
  • Contributor: Gardenvy
Lauren~ I totally know what you mean, I was utterly naive when I first started using toys.
    Sammi~ Thank you!
    Kytty~ Thanks for the info!
Lady Evyl~ Thank you! Yep I definitely reccomend a condom with jelly toys.
