Good Start
Anal Delight is a very good toy for beginners. It is small and comfortable while still providing stimulation. It works well as a plug, can be worn during sex, and is good preparation for larger toys. The only downside is that it is made of jelly, so condoms should be used. It can discolor.

Pros
Good size for beginners, flexible, comfortable base
Cons
It is made of jelly, condoms should be used
About two years ago I decided that I wanted to try anal stimulation. I'd been thinking about it and decided to buy the Crystal Jellies Anal Delight when I saw it on edenfantasys.com. I was worried that anal penetration would be painful, so the gradual increase in size of this toy really appealed to me. The beads gradually increase in size up to 1 1/2 inches, and you can insert as many or as few of them as you are comfortable with.
Once you get used to the sensation, this toy works really well as a butt plug in addition to working as an anal probe. The largest bead is big enough to keep it in place, and the neck is small enough to not cause me any discomfort. The base keeps it from going in to far, and it is narrow so that it fits comfortably between your cheeks. The toy is soft and flexible, which is both good and bad. Once inserted it is comfortable and moves with you, but it can be hard to insert. If you have someone helping it goes in quickly, but on your own it can be difficult. Either way you should use plenty of water based lube, and be prepared to try a few times to insert it if you are doing it yourself. When using it as a probe make sure that you do not pull the toy out all the way. The beads feel good moving in and out, but remember the toy is soft and will easily just bend if removed to far.
My main problem with this toy is that it is made of jelly. This means that it contains phthalates and so skin contact should be limited. You should also avoid oil based lubes with this toy as they can increase the amount of phthalates that are transferred. It is not clear if exposure to sex toys with phthalates for an hour or less a day causes problems, unless you are pregnant or breast feeding, but I think it is best to be careful. The toy also cannot truly be sterilized, so you should use a condom with it and be very careful if you wish to share it with your partner. Also, be careful that jelly toys do not touch other toys, especially each other, while you store them as they tend to dissolve.

Experience
I enjoy using this toy for DP, especially on my own. It feels great used with a dildo or vibrator and stays in place well. Occasionally I have to push it back in, but it only takes a second to reinsert the largest bead. It gives me a much fuller feeling without having to switch to a larger vibrator and satisfies my desire for anal stimulation at the same time.
Follow-up commentary
1 day after original review
Sadly my toy has discolored, especially at the tip. I knew this could happen with jelly toys, but I hoped it wouldn't happen to mine. I got a good 18 months out of this toy before the discoloration started, so it is still worth the price, especially for a beginner. I suppose I could technically continue using it since it is inside a condom, but I'd rather buy a new one. I did use this toy without a condom once or twice (bad girl, I know) so that probably contributed to the color change, and it is something you should be aware of.
