Sensua suede whip - whip discontinued by LELO - review by Pete's Princess

The Sensua Suede Whip by Lelo is a high quality toy for sensory play. This is a very nice quality item. The Suede falls are securely attached to the handle with a Silver band. The base of the handle is weighted so it lies evenly in your hand. It is a very good item to rub against the skin, the Suede is soft and feels great. It is great for using during a massage as a sensual addition.

As for the whip aspect - this is definitely a beginner toy. Even with swinging it as hard as I could it gave a nice pressure but not even a sting. For those who are looking for more advanced play or an introduction to pain as pleasure, this is not the toy for you. This could be used on more sensitive areas. Being Suede, you will want to be careful that you do not get it wet.

The price is a bit high for a sensory toy, but you are getting what you pay for. The quality of all of the components is top rate. The Suede is very uniform in shape and color. The Silver weighted ball at the end makes it well balanced when you are holding it in your hand. The acrylic handle has the logo LELO on it. It does appear to be glass from a distance but you do not have to be as careful with it since it is not really glass.

The size makes it great to travel with. It comes in a discreet box to store it in. The box can easily fit into a purse or overnight bag.

The design and materials are great for sensory play or use on more sensitive areas. Lelo took time to put together a well crafted little whip. The Suede is evenly cut and uniformly sized. The color of the Suede is also deep and rich. I choose the purple color. All of the Suede Falls are very securely attached and will last a long time. The translucent purple Acrylic handle is securely attached and features the LELO logo in it. I like that it is part of the Acrylic and not just a sticker or painted logo. These will sometimes come off especially if on a handle that will get a lot of contact. The end of the handle is weighted so that if you lay it flat across your palm it lays evenly.

As with almost all Suede there is some shedding for the first few uses. This is very common with Suede and not a manufacturing flaw. You will want to keep this in mind for your first few uses so that you do not get the shedding purple suede all over your light colored fabrics.

The Sensua Suede Whip is great for what it is intended (very light whipping and sensory play.) After reading the other reviews, I knew that this was exactly what this toy was and it met my expectations. I was a bit apprehensive to spend the extra money, but found that it was well worth it.

The Silver-toned and Acrylic sections are very easy to clean with a mild soap and water. Just be careful not to get the Suede wet when cleaning the handle.

The Sensua Suede Whip comes in a coated cardboard box with a picture of the whip and Lelo on the front, the name of the product on the sides. On the back is another picture of the whip and "Sensua Suede Whip - Caress and ignite the naked skin wit Beautifully sensual suede. The stylish whip is tailored for both gentle and not-so gentle strokes, making it a most desirable accessory for the couples who crave excitement." This is written in several different languages. The back also notes that this is a "High-quality Suede Whip / Acrylic and Metal Handle". The exterior packaging is not that discreet since it has pictures of the product on both the front and back.

When you remove the outer box, you find a much higher quality inner box. The box is black with a linen finish and LELO in black on the top. The top slides off to reveal the whip which is wrapped in a white marbled tissue paper.

The interior box makes a very discreet storage box and is also good for traveling.

There are no instructions or brochures describing other products in the line. But then I guess you shouldn't be playing with a whip if you need instructions.

This whip is fun to use as a foreplay toy. Running up and down the skin of your partner and whipping them is a great warm up. Even with as much force as possible, this whip will not leave marks or inflict much more than a bit of pressure on the "victim". You will not leave marks or cause pain. I am not much into pain so I found this to be a great addition. There is a matching feather tickler available that I will be adding in the future.
