Prior to this, I had never used a Wartenburg pinwheel. I had heard it recommended by a few friends of mine and when I saw it here for only $12.99, I had to try it.

This toy is used by rolling the spiked pinwheel over various parts of the body for stimulation. The Wartenburg Pinwheel was not designed as a sexual toy; it was originally made by Dr. Robert Wartenburg as a tool to test nerve sensitivity. I do not believe that it is still used in the medical practice at all, but it is definitely used in medical fetish play.

This pinwheel is made entirely of metal and has a bit of weight to it. The pinwheel itself is about 1.25" in diameter and has a total length of 7". The wheel is held in place by a single central screw and does not seem to be able to tighten as much as I would like it to unfortunately. However, having the wheel loose like it is allows for a much lighter touch of the toy.

I have been told that this can draw blood, but I have yet to be able to with it. This toy is safe for use on nearly anywhere on the body and can be used for everywhere between light tickling or heavier play. I am very pleased with how this has worked for me. It is amazing for tickling torture, medical play, and many other situations.

Maintenance of this is very easy. All you need to do to keep it clean is to wash it with simple antibacterial soap and water. The cleaning is a good precaution to take seeing as this can possibly draw a slight bit of blood (although that is not common).

The packaging of this is a joke. It comes in a single small ziploc-like bag with no documentation or labels. Although it does not require any sort of manual on how to use it, I was expecting some documentation. When I got the pinwheel in the mail, it had actually already poked quite a few holes in the bag.
