Bandito - strap-on dildo by Fun Factory - review by ghalik

Fun Factory's Bandito has almost all the versatility a dildo can possibly have: it's harness compatible so it's good for strapping on, it's got an ergonomic base which doubles as a suction cup if you're not strapping on, and its size and shape make it suitable for vaginal, anal, and oral uses. This dildo works equally well with someone or alone. The curved head makes Bandito a fantastic choice for G-spot or P-spot stimulation. The flared base makes it safe for anal use.

Bandito is great for anyone who likes non-realistic dildos.

Bandito is made of body-safe silicone and has no odor. The texture is big swirls, so it looks lovely but isn't overwhelming when inserted. The texture may look intimidating, but it's not very noticeable once inside. The raised parts are slightly shinier than the "substrate" but this does not affect the feeling. The silicone has a lot of drag, which makes lube a requirement for me.

The silicone is the perfect firmness for me: it's slightly bendable but not at all flaccid. I can squeeze it just a little but it takes a lot of pressure. It's very bouncy, which makes it fun to play with while it's suctioned onto a surface.

The silicone does pick up a lot of lint.

The design of Bandito is what made me buy it. It was the first dildo I ever saw that I loved from first sight. Its swirls look a bit like frosting running down to the base. It looks delicious. On another glance, it looks a little like a penguin. If you left it out on display you might be able to pass it off as art. The swirling pattern is symmetric about a line dissecting it from head to base. What I loved most was that it wasn't realistic in the slightest and it had a great shape.

I really wish there were more dildos with a curve like this. The head never fails to hit my G-spot and A-spot and I imagine it would work well for a P-spot as well. The swirls on the head just so happen to fall so that they create a head shape which provides the delightful popping sensation when inserted or removed.

The size is also perfect for me. It's 1.5" diameter at its widest point (the base) but the diameter is about the same throughout. The insertable length is 5.5". Obviously, this size is not for size queens and would not be good for anal beginners but it's a very average size that should work for most people.

The suction cup is a bit picky about surfaces it likes to stick to. It likes completely smooth, hard, flat surfaces and only when its base and the surface are completely clean. Surfaces I've had luck with are: smooth hard plastic, smooth porcelain, glass, polished metal. It really will not work on surfaces with texture.

The base is great for harness use because it's triangluar and thin. There is not a lot of space between the bottom of the base and the end of the insertable part. The triangular base makes it fit the female crotch perfectly when the head is pointed up. It almost makes it feel like an extension of your body, not like a bulky mass of silicone strapped onto you.

The Bandito, being entirely silicone, is very easy to clean. You may need to spend a little extra time cleaning out the ridges, but they have not been a problem for me. I recommend washing with soap and water before and after each use because the silicone picks up lint. You can also use toy cleaner or wipes. If you want to sterilize it, it is boilable, bleachable, and ovenproof to ~450ºF.

I recommend using condoms if you use it anally because the silicone will pick up smells.

You can use water or oil-based lubes with this. You cannot use silicone lube with Bandito as it may damage the surface.

Bandito comes in Fun Factory's standard "stubs" (dildos) package. The box has windows on two sides revealing the front and back of the Bandito, but it's hard to actually see it inside the box. The sides of the box have some information about product features in German, English, French, and Spanish.

You open the cardboard box to reveal a plastic clamshell holding Bandito. The box also contains a pamphlet on Fun Factory silicone toys (German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian), a pamphlet of all Fun Factory products (English only), and a 3 ml packet of Fun Factory's proprietary lubricant called Toyfluid which is manufactured by Pjur. The ingredients of Toyfluid: Water, Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid. Everything is made in Germany.



The box is not exactly the greatest for storage because it's difficult to get to Bandito (open box, pull out clamshell, open clamshell), but maybe I'm just lazy. I don't keep it in its packaging. It doesn't come with a storage pouch, but that's not at all unreasonable for the price. I like that I don't feel like I'm paying for fancy packaging with Fun Factory products.

All of the packaging is recyclable with paper except the clamshell, which is PET and may be recyclable in your area and the toyfluid packet which is not recyclable.

Bandito is without a doubt my favorite dildo. The shape and size are perfect for me and it has a beautiful non-realistic design. I also love that it comes in black. I really can't say enough good things about this dildo.
