Mustang - strap-on dildo by Vixen Creations, Inc - review by Oggins

The Mustang by Vixen Creations arrived very discreetly at my door. The shipping box was just a plain brown box with no markings to indicate that my brand new sex toy was carefully packed inside! The box was taped up securely too but once I cut through all of the tape and retrieved my new toy, I was free to admire its true beauty.

The product package is not anything fancy or overly done. It's a simple, thin plastic tube with yellow caps on both ends so the mustang is visible from any angle. While I'm sure that it is meant to be a temporary container, I kept mine to store the mustang in. There is some information about the product on the back and the front proclaims, "Vixskin, Worth every inch!" Little did I know how true this statement would turn out to be!

The mustang has a total length of 6 3/4" with only about ½" of that being the uninsertable base. This coupled with the 1 ½" diameter make it a good choice for a wide range of users. It's not hugely thick and it's not way too thin either but if you're a size queen, you may find that you want a little bit more than what this one can offer. Just make sure to check out the measurements so that you won't be disappointed.

The Vixskin material that this one is constructed of is a phenomenal material! It's designed from 100% premium silicone but it's soft and flexible while maintaining a firm core. It's sort of a dual density dildo. The outer material is soft and pliable while the inner material is stiffer and allows for better stability. My first instinct was to actually grab hold of this cock and jack it off, it's that similar to the real thing! When I tried to do this, the outer material did not slide like the skin on a real cock though. A minor complaint really, considering that it's the closest thing I've found to the real thing!

Since Vixskin is crafted from 100% premium silicone, you should only use water based lubes. It's easily cleaned with antibacterial soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner. It's also non porous and sterilizable! If sterilization is required, simply boil it for three minutes, toss it in your dishwasher(top rack, no soap!), or wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution followed up with a good rinse. There's also absolutely no smell or taste associated with this one either. This material is definitely top notch!

This one is fashioned with a nice wide base that is well defined so you're free to use it anally or vaginally. Just remember that if you are going to be using it both anally and vaginally, it should be sterilized after anal use. You should never switch back to vaginal use without sterilization because you could wind up with an infection and that's not good for anybody! This base also makes this dildo work very well in conjunction with a harness! The base is firm enough that we had no problem with it trying to pull through the O ring and there's just something sexy about wearing this thing around in a harness! It's so much fun!

The only thing that I've really noticed that could pose a problem for anyone is that the material is slightly tacky. It's really not down right sticky but lint and hair do stick to it fairly easily. Once again, this is only a minor complaint and it doesn't take away from my enjoyment at all! I love this thing and Vixen Creations is right! Vixskin is worth every inch! To enforce this statement, Vixen Creations places a lifetime warranty on this dildo. If it should ever rip, tear or something similar, Vixen Creations will replace it. That means that this dildo truly should last for a lifetime. Definitely worth the investment!

When using this dildo, I realized how quickly it warms up to body temperature, which led me to realizing how easily you can warm it up or cool it down for that matter. Just soak it in a bowl of warm water or cool water before use. Of course it does warm up pretty quickly so it will not hold onto that cool feeling for very long but it's still fun to play around with.

Vixen Creations is located in San Francisco so it's kind of nice to have a toy made in the United States rather than China. I really don't have a problem with toys being made in China it's just the fact that so many of them are. This is one of the few in my collection that is made locally in the U.S.A. I would love to be able to take a tour of this facility some day!

Another tip I'd like to pass along is that you can actually make this dildo vibrate if you happen to have a Hitachi Magic Wand lying around. Simply press it up against the wide base and presto! Your Mustang now vibrates!

When storing this toy, make sure to put it in a storage bag(not included)or wrap it up in something so that it doesn't touch other silicone toys. Sometimes silicone toys can damage each other so, it's better to be safe than sorry.

I've used this dildo quite frequently for the past few months and I've had no problems at all. The head adds to its realistic feel and it really is the closest I've found to the real thing. I really didn't notice the veins down the shaft very much when I used it vaginally but I think it's because the exterior is so pliable. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase!
