A G-spots Dream

The Athena by Luxotiq (my first piece from this company) is a simple, curved glass dildo. Either end is insertable with one end being larger than the other so you can start off small and slow if that's your thing.

The curve is pretty dramatic so I'd say it's safe to use anally, just keep a firm grip on it just to have an idea of where it is at all times while doing that. Temperature play is also wonderful to do with glass because it holds temperatures really well. Place it in a bowl of ice water to cool it down or heat it up with warm water and you are good to go. Just don't subject it to extreme temperatures because that will make this wonderful toy shatter.

If you haven't figured out already, the Athena is made of glass. Glass is a wonderful material because it is totally body safe, hypo-allergenic, phthalates free, and non-porous, meaning it won't absorb any bodily fluids or anything else. Just be sure to inspect it for chips and cracks before using so you don't get injured, and try not to drop it or store it next to other glass toys without a storage pouch. Take care of this dildo and it will take care of you.

The Athena in person is a lot larger than what I was expecting but that's not a bad thing. In total, it is 9 1/2" long and since either end is insertable, just insert whatever length feels good for you. One end is 4" inches in circumference and the other end is 4 3/4". Those measurements don't sound all that different but since glass is such a hard unforgiving material, the girths definitely feel different.

All the reviews on this are positive so I knew I had to check out this glass wonder. She's worth every bit of praise she gets.

I love that this dildo is double-ended with different sizes to choose from. The smaller end is great to start off with but nice to finish off with as well. The larger end provides a feeling of fullness without being too overwhelming. The middle of the shaft is much narrower so I don't feel stretched out at all.

An interesting thing to note is when I tap my rings on it, it sounds hollow, so this is not a piece that should be dropped but will hold up for regular use.

The Athena is completely smooth, having no texture at all. This would be a great toy for those just starting off with glass and those who are sensitive to texture.

Soap and water is good but you can also sterilize it with a 10 percent bleach solution. You can also boil it for a couple of minutes, just be sure to let it cool off before removing.

All kinds of lubricants are good to use with glass. Just remember that glass becomes extremely slick and caution should be taken to avoid dropping and breaking it.

The Athena came in really nice packaging. It has a white box with a ribbon closure with a satin interior with some foam underneath to keep it getting knocked around so much. Also included was a cleaning cloth to wipe up any fingerprints. It doesn't come with a pouch but the box works well for storage.
