Athena is a G-spot dildo with two different sized ends, so there is something for everyone. Luxotiq is known for taking simple designs and applying them to glass dildos. There are some crazy things out there on the market, so it is nice to get back to basics every now and then. Although Athena doesn't have a flared base, it is long enough in my opinion to use anally. The bulbous heads and curved shaft could very well massage and stimulate the P-spot. Just like with every other toy, this dildo may not hit everyone's sweet spots. The dildo is long enough to easily keep a nice, firm grip on the other end while thrusting or using anally. Like other glass toys, always be cautious when thrusting as the rigid nature of the material can easily bruise tender tissues.
The simplistic design makes this very discreet. It could almost pass as a paperweight! I would not feel ashamed if I accidentally left this out and someone found or saw it.
I honestly believe that this would make a perfect beginner's dildo, especially if the beginner is new to G-spot play and glass toys. Even though this is a double ended dildo, it isn't insanely long or huge. It easily tucks into small spaces making it perfect for traveling. Athena is a multi-purpose dildo, and it makes a wonderful addition to temperature play. Because it doesn't have any inner workings, Athena can be used in the shower. However, it does become slippery and somewhat difficult to hold onto so be careful.

Athena comes in two different colors: light pink or a dark blue. I own more than one Luxotiq glass toy, and I have always been in love with the dark blue color. With Athena, however, I felt more attracted to the pink one this time and that is the one I got. The dildo arrived in perfect condition. There weren't any scratches or imperfections in the glass. It is crystal clear.
Athena is made from Pyrex glass. This type of glass, if dropped, will not shatter into a thousand pieces. Instead, it will break into large and manageable chunks. Glass is non-porous, hypo-allergenic, and latex/phthalates free. Pyrex glass is super rigid, which will help provide firm pressure to the G-spot/P-spot. In order to play with temperatures, simply place it in a bowl filled with your desired temperature of water. Glass can be used with any types of lubricant whether it be oil, water, or silicone based lubricants. Speaking of lubes, the surface of the Athena has zero drag, and a little lube goes a very long way.
Even though this material is non-porous, I still recommend putting a condom over the shaft when sharing with a partner. This way, everyone stays safe. On top of all of these amazing properties, Athena comes with absolutely no smells or tastes. It also doesn't retain any weird smells like some silicone toys do. There are no textures to Athena. She is deliciously smooth. It also doesn't have any bothersome seams, which is always a plus.

Athena looks long, but her length comes in handy when thrusting. The extra room at the end makes a perfect handle for anyone's hand. The curve makes G-spot play easy as well. Most people will not have to contort their hand or wrist in order to curve the shaft upwards into their G-spot. Some who have deeper seated G-spots may still have to point the toy upwards a little, but it won't be nearly as severe as using a toy with little to no curve. The length may be a little intimidiating to beginners, but anyone could use this.
The two ends are very rounded and blunt. They never feel pointy or uncomfortable. The heads also do not have any pronounced ridges, which makes the chances of this catching on a pubic bone very small. Athena is very simple, and some may call her plain, but I think she is a must have in any toy collection. The glass is extremely clear, and she is very well made. The only thing on her is a small white "L", which obviously stands for Luxotiq. You can insert as much as you want or need, but I find I only insert about 3-4 inches when using either end. Athena's plain Jane look makes her an awesome travel buddy. If found, the dildo could easily be passed off as an overly large paperweight. Athena usually stays in our shower as my husband loves to torture me with this during shower sex. I can have orgasm after orgasm without feeling irritated afterwards or overstimulated. My husband loves to make me cum until I am begging him to stop.

Athena worked better for me than I thought she would. I find it more difficult to orgasm with a smooth dildo compared to a dildo with texture. However, the curve definitely makes up for the lack of raised texture. Without the wonderful curve, I doubt I would be able to orgasm easily with Athena. Although the curve is shallow, it zeroes in on my G-spot immediately. I use the smaller end for warm up and anal play. I prefer the larger end vaginally as I feel like it covers the whole G-spot. This, for me, delivers more intense orgasms compared to the smaller, pinpoint end. The smooth glide of the glass feels great when used anally, and it makes it super easy to clean. I have no trouble when inserting this anlly or vaginally. It just glides right in!
I am known to have multiple and easy to achieve orgasms, and the Athena really proves how easy it can be. Within a few strokes, I am already tightening up and clenching with the force of an orgasm. I do have to say that it takes a lot more for me to squirt with Athena than it normally does. I am not really sure why that is, but either way I am always left feeling relaxed and content. Like I said, Athena does make a lovely anal dildo but I still prefer my Luxotiq Anal Plug when playing with my partner. Athena can get slippery fairly quickly, but I have never had an issue with keeping a grip on the toy. The one thing that does kind of suck about this dildo is that it tends to flip over when you try to use it hands free. Some people like to have their nipples, clit, and G-spot stimulated all at once. I achieve this by applying nipple clamps to my nipples, and I use one hand to thrust the dildo and another hand to hold a vibrator to my clit. For me, this solves any and all issues.

Athena, being made of non-porous glass, is very easy to clean and care for. For a quick cleaning, warm water and antibacterial soap will do just fine. You could always use a toy cleaner or a toy wipe as well. If you feel like the glass dildo needs a deeper clean, you can boil it for about 5 minutes. Wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution or sticking in the top rack of your dishwasher (no soap) are some of your other options when it comes to sanitizing Athena. There aren't any seams or textures to make cleaning difficult. I recommend washing the toy properly before going from anal to vaginal play. For storage, I use a padded pouch. You can always use the original box though.

Luxotiq's packaging isn't the worst, but it isn't the best either when you think about how much you are paying for the toy. Athena comes in a somewhat sturdy pink and white box. The box is kept closed via two satin strings. I find that the strings, even when tied at their tightest, do not keep the box fully closed. The toy is nestled in a bed of white satin. Inside the box as well, you will find a cloth to help remove any dust or fingerprints from the toy's surface and a little card with Luxotiq's name on it. The box is feminine and would make a good gift, but I would also provide a pouch or something to store the toy in. I prefer to store mine in a padded pouch as I don't have room to keep the box, but the box is sufficient enough to store the toy.
