The Amethyst by SSA Glass is a great addition to any toy box. It is a double ended dildo in an amazing shade of green which may become the envy of your other glass toys. This dildo can be used by beginners or more advanced users alike, both with find lots of enjoyment with it. The amethyst measures approx 7 1/2 inches, with a 4 inch circumference at the widest point. Most of the length is on the longer pointed end which measures about 4 1/2 inches with a 1 inch head. Then there are 2 bubble areas which are about 3/4 inch in size and a ring before smoothing back out. The other end, measuring about 3 inches with a 1 inch head; just has the pointed end to it before becoming smooth. This toy is great for insertion both vaginally and anally. When switching between vaginal and anal you should be sure the toy is thoroughly cleaned, the best way to do this is to sterilize it by boiling it or washing in a 10% bleach solution. There is no flared base but the curve will prevent it from becoming lost. Keep in mind that glass is a very hard and rigid material and damage can be done if you thrust too hard.

This dildo is made of Pyrex Glass which rates a 10 on the Eden's Safety Scale. This is the highest rating a material can get.

Any type of lube can be used with this toy. Water, oil, or silicone; none of them will cause a reaction with the glass material of the toy. Glass can also be used for temperature play. It is not recommended that you place it in the microwave to heat it up. I have heard of people boiling them but I personally just hold it under hot running water. In order to cool this dildo down for temperature play I run it under cold water or have stuck it in a ziploc bag of ice beside the bed until we were ready to use it. I have found that this toy holds the heat for a brief amount of time, maybe 5-10 minutes. The cold on the other hand seems to last 20 minutes or so. We keep our bedroom slightly cool as well, so room temperature makes our glass toys cool without any extra help as well.

To clean this dildo you have several options; wet cloth and soap, toy cleaner, or wipe. When cleaning make sure you focus on the bubbles as they are a great place for bacteria to grow. For storage, I keep mine in the velvet bag that came with it and I always place it on the bottom shelf of my storage container. You should take care when placing it somewhere it could fall off as it could easily break a toe. When opening this toy there was no noticeable smell or taste to it. With the exception of the above mentioned areas that are not straight, there is not additional texture to this dildo.

Overall this is an amazing addition to any toy collection. I really enjoy mine and hope to continue to enjoy it for years to come.
