I'd like to start off by pointing out the Amethyst is my very first glass toy. Not going to lie, at first I was terrified of the idea of using a glass dildo, and really not understand why anyone would want to use one. I read many reviews here on the glass toys at Eden, and heard many raves about them from friends, that the curiosity finally got the best me. After reading many reviews on different glass toys, I felt this would be perfect as my first. I wanted to find something not too wide, not too many bumps, curved for g-spot stimulation, and easy to handle. The Amethyst is exactly that, its size and curve makes it a perfect candidate for a g-spot pleasing good time. This toy is safe for vaginal inserting only, as their is no flared base for anal.

The Amethyst is made of Pyrex glass, meaning it is non-porous and body safe. The glass odorless and tasteless. Being my first glass toy, I must admit I am very impressed by the way glass feels. I was scared it would be too hard to thrust with and that I would hurt myself. To my surprise it is actually very comfortable to insert and thrust (just be careful not to be too rough with it). Glass is normally cold to the touch at first, but it warms up quite fast in your hand. I am amazed by the sensation that glass provides, it is definitely a sensation like no other I have felt before.

The design of this dildo is beautiful. It features two ends, one of which is a perfect slim curve for g-spot stimulation. The other end is slightly wider and has 3 large ridges. I bought this dildo with the curved end in mind for g=spot stimulation and find I do much prefer that end. While I have used the ridged end and do enjoy it to an extent, I tend to be a little overwhelmed by the sensation and move back to the other end. The size of this dildo is just right for me, with this being my first glass toy. It is not too girthy or lengthy, and hits all the right spots. The ridged end makes a great grip to hold onto while thrusting, I don't have any problem with losing my grip. I got the emerald green color of this toy, it is true to picture and stunning in person. Personally, I get bored of all the pink and purple dildos so I was very excited to get my first glass toy in green. While it is pretty, I wouldn't go and leave this toy laying around if you don't want anyone to see your dildo. I mean, it is pretty obviously a dildo regardless of its beauty.

What is not to love about this toy? It is beautiful, easy to handle, and serves its purpose and then some. I can not brag enough about how great the material and the shape of this toy combined makes for the simply the best g-spot toy I have ever tried. The only downside I have is that I didn't buy this toy, or any other glass toy sooner. The Amethyst has got me on the glass toy bandwagon, I can not wait to try some more glass toys.

I am loving how easy it is to just wipe this toy clean with a toy wipe. The smooth glass makes it a breeze to clean with one swipe. It was, however, slightly more effort to clean of the ridged end of the dildo, as it has more creases that need be properly cleaned out. If toy wipes are not your thing, a bath in soap and water will do just fine. I find the wipes my preferred method for cleaning this toy because I am terrified of cracking or breaking this toy to the extent that I do not even want to bring it near the sink, but that is just paranoid little old me. As far as storing goes, it came with a red velvet toy storage bag. I am using the bag it came with for now, but I would like to get a nice padded bag to put it in because every time I set the toy down in the bag I am scared of breaking it. Maybe keeping it wrapped up in a pillowcase,shirt, or something for added protection before storing it away in a drawer would be a good idea. As far as lube goes, I have honestly not needed to use a drop thus far with this toy. This is a big surprise to me because I am huge lube fan and have always used it with silicone or plastic toys. I am amazed of how much this toy instantly gets my natural lubrication going...and going and going and going. If you do find a little lube is needed, I'm sure a drop of water based will do the trick as always.

I bought this toy with the main intention of learning how to have a squirting g-spot orgasm. I was told this kind of glass toy works wonders for learning how to squirt so I went for it. While I have yet to be able to reach that goal, this toy is enjoyable with or without the squirt which only makes me want to practice more! Hopefully my follow-up review to this will be something along the lines of "OHMAHGODOHMAHGOD I DID IT!!". Hey, a girl can dream, right?
