Living the Cushy Life.

Cush is both visually and palpably satisfying, having a unique design and excellent surface features. While not a beginner dildo, this toy is a great choice for someone ready for something on the bigger side. Its plush surface makes for comfortable use and it cleans up with ease and effectiveness. If you're ready for its size, I recommend giving it a try.

Use

The O2 Cush from Tantus is a dual-density silicone dildo of above-average size that can be used anally or vaginally and is O-ring compatible for harness use.
I personally use the Cush anally (as that is really my only option of the two). Its textured ridges and added girth make it unsuitable for anal beginners.
Vaginally speaking, I cannot say much, but I can imagine that the ridges and thickness add to the sensation in much the same way it does anally.

In terms of using the toy; its base is actually very nice and firm, made of the harder inner core silicone. It is flared, making it safe for anal play, and it's also big enough to use effectively as a handle if you so desire. Unlike some other Tantus O2 toys, the base does not exert much (if any) suction when applied to a smooth surface. Furthermore, there is no bullet hole in the bottom of the toy for insertion of a suction cup. Likewise, a bullet vibe also cannot be inserted to convert the dildo to a vibrator. This is not a bad trade-off, however, as the entirety of the shaft is firm enough to be thrusted without additional support.

This toy is suitable for solo play and for use with a partner, either manually or with a harness.

Material / Texture

Cush is made of Tantus' O2 silicone which essentially means a firm inner "muscle" core surrounded by a much softer, squishier exterior. Like typical silicone, it is odourless, hypoallergenic, non-porous, phthalates-free and very hygienic. Overall, it's very body safe, deserving of a 10 on the Eden material safety scale.

In terms of the surface texture, it is smooth and matte, and like many silicones, ever so slightly tacky to the touch. This texture holds onto lube nicely. While it is not meant to feel super-realistic like the O2 Mark, Adam and Mikey, it does have some skin-like properties.

The plushness of the exterior material makes it very comfortable, though its overall girth make it less beginner-friendly.

Design / Shape / Size

I very much enjoy the design of the Cush. It's semi-realistic at best and has a slightly inhuman look to it with the crescent-shaped secondary ridge. I'm not a fan of realistic toys for the most part, so this is all good in my books. It's fairly long, measuring at about 7" long, though this may vary slightly due to the nature of the soft outer layer; its thin yet firm base makes it all but completely insertable. A girthy boy, Cush is 1.75" diameter at the thickest point around the head. Bear in mind that while this is big and by no means a beginner size, it does compress slightly adding extra comfort. I am very satisfied with the thickness and the length.

The softness of the material makes it very comfortable during use, and both the coronal bump and the secondary ridge feel very stimulating going in (which is perfect for me, but may be too rough for some). This toy is soft and plush on the outside with a firm yet flexible core, giving it what I feel is the best of both worlds.

Again, if you wish to use this toy anally, have some experience first; don't overestimate your capacity, nor should you underestimate the size. This toy presses on the border of two inches which is pretty wide. Vaginally speaking, you should be comfortable with larger girths as well. I wouldn't recommend the Cush for an absolute beginner (though its relative, O2 Flurry, may be a bit more beginner-friendly).

Cush isn't very discreet, let's face it. Though not completely realistic, it is still phallic in shape and contour, and all but the most naive people will know what it is on sight. As for travel, I am a bit wary; while I normally feel that silicone toys are fine for travel, the impressionability of the surface layer worries me a bit. Aside from that, there shouldn't be any issues, though again, it's not discreet.

Performance

I have always been a fan of Tantus toys, and while I have only owned two Tantus dildos (Acute, O2 Adam), the Cush meets my expectations and then exceeds them. With toy properly lubed (and myself properly warmed up), I have found it to be stimulating and comfortable all at once. It provides a bit of stretch which is always exciting, and the surface stimulates further with the undulations between its thickest points.

While it provides a lot of sensation both anally and rectally, it doesn't hit the prostate as well as either the Acute or O2 Adam because of its lack of curve. If this dildo were curved in a similar fashion, I would be completely in love. I can assume that G-spot stimulation is also inhibited slightly by the straight shaft.

As I said before, this toy doesn't exert any suction with its base, as it is completely flat. This differs from the O2 Adam which was capable of minimal suction. Even though I like the idea of a suction-capable base, it's not essential to my purposes. As for its harness compatibility, I am unable to personally test that. However, its base is wide, round and rigid which should keep it in place fairly well.

Care and Maintenance

Like all 100% silicone toys, the O2 Cush can be cleaned easily with soap and warm water. It can be further sterilized in several ways:

- Boiling for three minutes, avoiding the sides and especially the bottom of the pot - use tongs if you can.
- Bleaching with a 10% solution of bleach in water; spray/wipe on, wipe/rinse off and clean afterwards.
- Placing the toy in the dishwasher, top rack, no soap. No dishes either, please.

In terms of lube, do try to avoid silicone lubricants including "hybrid" lubes. Some silicone lubes can break down the surface of some silicone toys, resulting in instantaneous tackiness that can be scraped off of the surface. If you must use silicone lube, do a test swatch on the bottom of the base. I am unsure if supersoft silicone is more susceptible to lube-breakdown, but I recommend testing compatibility on a spot close to the base if you must.

The exterior "supersoft silicone" (not to be confused with "supersoft", a much different material) has a few differences from usual silicone. As I mentioned above, it is squishy, more stretchy and generally softer. This has implications that it may be less durable than regular, firm silicone. Regardless, proper care of your toy should prevent any issues.

There have been warnings in the past that dual-density and supersoft silicone toys should always be stored upright to avoid making impressions in the surface. I have stored mine upright since receiving it, but I would like to mention that mine does have a slightly noticeable imprint on the head of the toy, likely caused by the toy resting against its clamshell packaging during shipping. While it doesn't impact use, it can be felt with a finger and seen in good lighting conditions. I don't love my Cush any less for it, but it does provide warning against storing the toy on its side. I simply keep mine standing upright in a box with the rest of my collection, making sure it's not touching anything.

Packaging

O2 Cush came to me in the typical Tantus packaging of transparent and colourful outer plastic box and inner clear plastic clamshell. It isn't discreet at all, but would make for a good display on store shelves. The packaging includes some information about Tantus, but nothing about using the toy. It's not great for storage, though the inner plastic shell may be used to hold the toy in place in a box or similar, if you really want to. Even if it can't be used for storage, it is recyclable which makes Tantus all the more admirable.

Personal comments

O2 Cush is an excellent dildo for anyone looking for something girthy, filling and comfortable. I've come to really like it in the few weeks that I've owned it. It's filling and stimulating, and I doubt I will grow bored of it. Again, I wish it were curved at least a little bit, but one simply can't have it all in life.

Experience

I've found the O2 Cush to be quite comfortable and stimulating all at once, but it does require one to take things slowly at first in order to get used to the thickness. I really like how it stimulates the sensitive tissue of the anus without being irritating; the same can be said about how it exerts its ridges on the internal anatomy. It does offer some P-spot stimulation, but it's rather passive and not targeted like some curved dildos and probes. To be completely honest, sometimes I just like to feel this toy in my hands; it really does feel nice.
