The Amethyst is shipped surrounded by a thin layer of bubble wrap inside a red velvet pouch. I received two previous SSA Glass toys without any packing material, protected instead by a purple faux-suede bag with a satin lining. The original bag gave the toys somewhat more padding, at the expense of taking up more room in my toy box. I am therefore a bit conflicted as to my opinion of the change, but either way, the toys arrived safely and I was pleased to have the storage bags.

The red velvet separator bag, despite not providing much in the way of padding, is extremely attractive. The other thing I like about this bag is that I can tell the individual glass toys apart without opening the bags. The shape and texture can be felt through the thinner material.
