Review of MiMi - Discreet massager discontinued

When I first received my MiMi, I read on the box: "Small yet powerful MiMi is your perfect first toy for sensational external stimulation, whether together or solo". This statement is a complete and honest truth, and it is hard to add anything to this.
MiMi is not just a perfect FIRST toy, it is perfect last toy as well, and the perfect toy PERIOD!
It is very non-intimidating, yet powerful and great for ladies that need that extra clitoral stimulation, but new to toys and not ready to jump into experimenting.
It is great for couples, because of its ergonomic shape yet small size is perfect to use during the intercourse in any position.
It is a great solo vibrator, since it is quiet and waterproof, MiMi can be used pretty much anywhere - on the bed, campus, while traveling, in the tub; it is so quiet, I even used mine at work.

Mimi is made out of hard plastic shell that is covered with very velvety textured 100% silicone "skin".
It is very nice to the touch, and has no drug to it, that is why i almost never use any lubrication with MiMi.
But if any lubrication is needed, only water based will work, and it has been said million times - NO SILICONE LUBRICANTS ALLOWED. I did an experiment and left Mimi's "skin" lay covered with silicone lube - after couple weeks the color of lube became black - the color of the toy, and it kind of "ate" through the velvety finish, so basically it slowly melts in with the toy material.
I would say that the outer silicone layer is made out of pretty hard blend of silicone, but it is this nice buttery texture just makes it so easy to glide it all over your body.
I believe that the velvety feel on the outside is the result of some type of sanding, because when i cut the "skin" from one of the toys and tuned it inside-out the silicon there was shiny and had certain amount of drug to it.
There is no visible seam on the outside of the toy, it is completely smooth, however there is one, and it runs by the narrow sides, but it is barely visible from the inside as well.
MiMi has no taste, no odor, and, most importantly seems to not attract any other odors.
Overall i like how MiMi retains the body heat and combined with its nice texture it just feels just like the back of your hand, hard, smooth and velvety.

MiMi is oval shaped toy, flat and pinpointed at the end, and reminds me the shape of a river rocks that frequently used at the spa.
The Mimi is 3 1/4" inches long, has a width of 2 inches, and comfortably fits in the palm of your hand.
All though the design is very minimalistic, I read that JeJoue, the maker of MiMI, has collected a lot of data from gynecologists and research centers concerning the size/shape of female genitalia and designed MiMi to work great with female anatomy. After I read that I understood that this is probably why my MiMi fits me so well and what truly makes MiMi a Luxury Vibrator is its ergonomic shape.
Mimi is a hard plastic shell that contains the powerful motor, lithium battery, control pad, and mother board. When I bisected one of the toys I was amazed how neat the whole structure was, manufacurer deffinately put a lot of work towards design of the motor and the whole mechanical part was well engineered.

Mimi's controls are very very easy, instruction is not needed. It has two metal buttons: (+) and (-) . Press (+) and hold it - it turns toy on, keep pressing (+) and you will get to the highest steady vibration. I love that with Mimi you can also go back to lower vibrations just by pressing (-) button, and that you dont have to start all over. By pressing and holding (-) button you turn the toy off. Mimi has 5 steady vibration levels, from very low rumble vibration to very high breathtaking one.
Mimi also has 5 function settings, or patterns, such as fast pulsations, escalating pulsations... they are great as well, but i am just not a big fan of vibration settings, i am more of a sucker for a good old steady vibration, so i cannot say a lot about pattern settings since i hardly use them at all.
On the older version of Mimi used to have just 2 buttons, and you would get to vibration settings by keeping pressing the (+) button, when in the second generation toy they added the middle plastic button (S), and vibration settings are turned on only when you press it. I thought it was extremely convenient for people like me that hardly use the pattern vibrations.

I love MiMi's rumbly vibrations, squeezing does not affect the motor power, as i experienced with many clitoral vibes of this kind.



Charging MiMi is a snap, literally. It has a two point magnetic charger that snaps to the toy, because there also are 2 little magnets inside of the plus and minus buttons that are connected to the lithium battery. The charger head comes in the color matching the toy.
Important thing to remember is when you first get the toy to continuously charge it for 3 hrs, that will allow you to have the maximum battery capacity in future. If you fail to do so, the toy will not be charging properly later and will loose power rather quickly.

Normally i would charge my toy for about 2 hrs, and unplug it when the heart shaped indicator light stops flashing, that is enough for 3-4 hrs of play. Interesting fact - as MiMi uses its charge - vibration do not become weaker, instead when battery is empty toy just shuts off.

I have very little to say about care and maintenance of MiMi, probably because it is extremely easy, and I don't even think about it anymore. It is a fully waterproof and nonporous toy, so clean up is a snap!

I wash mine with warm water and whatever soap I have on my sink at the moment. Some say Mimi is the lint magnet and prefer to air dry their toy, but I just wipe it with the paper towel. I honestly did not notice that MiMi was catching a lot of dust or lint compared to the other silicone toys. When in a hurry, wet wipes of any kind(toy wipes, baby wipes, and feminine wipes), will work wonderfully. I also noticed that, surprisingly, body fluids and the dirt don't not really get into the engraved logo and the letters, so it is not a concern.

Since MiMi does not come with the storage bag, I keep it in the custom made silk pouch to protect from other silicone toys when I rarely put in in the toy box, but mostly to protect it from dirt and scratches, because I normally carry her in my purse.

Mimi's packaging screams: "Quality". Whoever designed the package did really put a lot of time, love and creativity into it.

It comes in the outer layer box, which is thin cardboard, it is not discreet, it has the name of the manufacturer and the toy, has picture of a product, and description on few languages explaining that this is a vibrator. However, box in in no way vulgar, it is very appropriate and classy.

Once opened - inside is the second box made out of very thick black cardboard, that only says "JeJoue" on it and contains the toy. It is also sealed with shrink wrap to insure the quality and that your hand will be first to touch the precious MiMi.

As shown on the picture, first generation toy box is little different from the second generation box.
In the first series box was bigger, had a satin bow, and opened more like a chest, one side of the lid is permanently attached to the box. Inside the was a toy laying on the plastic plate shaped to fit Mimi, below that there was an instruction and care booklet and the charger underneath all of that - stacked together.

With the second generation of MiMis - came a new box, much smaller, two part storage container - the base box and the slightly bigger top box - the lid, that is simply pulled up. Inside box is divided, one side is the plastic plate with the Mimi on in, and a little compartment on the side with the chest-like lid, that has the charger and the instruction manual.

I cannot say which box design i prefer more - the older one with the bow was more romantic, but the new one is just more accessible. They are both very-very nice, so i would not trow them away in a million years. Since i personally do not like to keep my MiMi in the box (come on, she gets no rest what so ever), i just re-purposed both of the boxes. I use the older one with the bow to keep love letters, dried flowers and little things. The small newer box works great to keep the condoms in the section where MiMi used to be and to keep the batteries in the small, charger compartment. However, packaging on this toy is the real deal and that is just my personal preference not to use them as storage, but i am sure that a lot of people would.

Only one thing is upsetting me when it comes to MiMi's packaging - it is that a precious silicone toy that does not need to touch her other toy-box mates - does not come with the storage pouch! Not even the cheapest satin drawstring bag... I am not saying that it is hard to buy a dollar satin pouch, but it is just much more convenient when the toy, especially the luxury vibrator, comes with one.

All tough, JeJoue is the British company, with the home office in London, toy is not manufactured in UK. On the box it mysteriously says: "Made in PRC", which means "People's Republic of China". Seriously, JeJoue this is the only thing that bothers me about MiMi. I would not mind paying more, but I would prefer if the toy was made in UK, USA, Canada.

Mimi is the best vibrator that I ever owned, it pleases me in every possible way and it has everything that girl can dream of. It is ergonomic, rechargeable, silicone, waterproof, and powerful. But what truly amazed me is JeJoue customer service.
My first Mimi had developed well known "skin bubbling" issue after first few month of use. After cutting her up later i discovered that mimi's two part hard shell is screwed together and there are silicone plugs that cover those screw holes. I believe they were not glued on and what happened is that the silicone plugs came out and air from the inside of the toy got under the MiMi's skin. which made it very loose. By the time this happened my Eden return time was over, so i went to JeJoue official website and send a message to JeJoue customer service, where I explained what happened, attached a copy of receipt from Eden and couple of pictures showing the issue. I was very pleased how fast and professional was the response. I was told to keep the faulty toy and was mailed a new one withing a week.
My second MiMi was one of the very first toys from the "second generation", the one with the middle button, and when they send me one it was not yet released. JeJoue customer care had followed up with me asking if I was satisfied with the replacement. I answered them that yes, toy was working fine, but for some reason I could not get the middle pattern button to work, but it was ok since I do not use patterns much anyway.
However, the answer i got from JeJoue was that they do take pride in what they do and are very serious about quality of their products, so I was told to keep the second toy and that i will be mailed the 3rd toy.
The 3rd toy, which was the second replacement from JeJoue worked great. Actually both of them - the middle-button-cripple MiMi and the normal one still work great and it has been over a year now and no issues.
I think what happened to me is just a bad luck, but JeJoue customer service did everything possible to satisfy me. I have dealt with other adult toy companies regarding product issues before and JeJoue has the best customer service so far, I felt like they really cared and I haven't paid a penny for anything, all the replacements and shipping were free. I feel very safe with JeJoue's 1 year warranty and will be purchasing from this company in the future.
