Bottle Rockets Nova by Evolved is definitely worth five stars! I suggest being wild with this thing (and safe!) and let your imagination take you places. The usage is totally up to your gender, your likes and you. For me however since I am female, this vibrator worked wonders on the clitoris. The texture is really what adds so much to this simple vibrator—but I will get into that in a little bit.

This vibrator is great for stimulating your body, but it's pretty useless for penetration and using it internally more than likely won’t get you anywhere—I also don’t recommend it. Using it internally didn't work for me; I do love my G-Spot but it really was difficult to hit it using this vibrator. For me it was too much work, so I'll set this guy aside for only clitoral play.

You can either see this as a pro or con. I actually see it as neither, as there are other products out there, and definitely other vibrators, that give you the option of both penetration and vibration. The Bottle Rockets Nova is perfect for what it is obviously designed for, so no complaints here. Since it is made of plastic, you can use it with any lubricant: oil, silicone, or water-based.

The material, oh the material! This vibrator while being both body-friendly and phthalates-free, has a silky-smooth coating that gives you the tiniest bit of friction which goes a long way—this friction feels deliciously good on sensitive areas. The coating can be found on many Evolved vibrators and feels slightly realistic while giving the toy a smooth feel. There is no seam to worry about on this toy and there is no piece just waiting to nip, poke or prick your private bits.

On to the texture: As you can see in the pictures of this vibrator, it has a “unicorn horn effect” which basically is just a swirled texture from top to bottom. To say these swirls give any extra “oomph” is up to the user, but it did little to nothing for me because I focus more so on the tips of toys such as these. The swirls are not deep ones and they are in fact very shallow. Since I am a reviewer and I have to be somewhat detail oriented, I can tell you first hand that the swirls do not give much of a sensation when used internally. Thankfully, they don’t provide you with an uncomfortable feeling either.

I really enjoyed the design of this vibrator. It is almost ridiculously cute, as it stands just a bit past four inches and is just a tad bigger than a finger, girth-wise. Because of its small size, however, some people with bigger hands might have a problem holding it. Even for me, and I have small hands, there’s not much to hold on to so you have to be careful not to drop it by applying too much pressure to said area! I had this happen to me while using it for clitoral sensations—I nearly dropped it! :(

One thing I love and that is fairly commonly found in discreet vibrators, is the fact that it is great to bring with you places and small enough to hide in a purse or bag without it being too noticeable. Unlike other vibrators in this category however, you can pretty much tell what it is. If someone is rummaging through your purse. . .sorry, you’re caught red handed!

You’ll be happy to know that this Evolved vibrator is waterproof. It has a protective silver ring around the battery compartment and after letting it lay in my sink filled with water for a good half an hour, I opened it and found no water inside—you can definitely trust that this guy will be able to withstand going with you in a shower or tub.

Another excellent tidbit to point out is that this marvelous vibrator requires only one AA battery! I was happy to know this because I absolutely hate buying batteries. A lot of the bigger vibrators need two, to even four batteries and if you use your vibrator daily, that’s a lot of batteries to throw away monthly! When you put a fresh battery in this Bottle Rocket, it works for a long time without losing any vibration or speed—a good two weeks, actually. Battery savers rejoice!

One thing I was a little disappointed in was the fact that it’s just one speed. Fortunately, I knew this when my Daddy ordered it for me so it wasn’t too much of a let down. Some might worry with the on/off button being on the very bottom that they’d shut it off during a very steamy session, but fear not. I know I had stated earlier that it was a bit cumbersome to hold at times, well, I actually didn’t accidentally turn this little guy off once! In fact, even if you were to press the button, it’d take pressure to actually turn it off. The button works on a small spring so when you press it you have to apply pressure until it clicks. That being said, for someone like me that’s kind of clumsy, this works wonders and is very helpful.

On to the one area that most people need to know: Vibration.
The vibrations that come off this thing are anything but light. If you want to have any idea on how high or low the vibrations are, consider this the ‘medium’ on the vibrators with three speeds—it’s not soft, but it’s not jackhammer either. I think some people with more sensitive areas (especially a sensitive clitoris) could pull off using it, but they’d be pushing it. If you are perhaps concerned that for the more advanced vibrator user this little vibrator won’t suffice—fear not, as I can assure you that you will feel this one. There are definitely other vibrators out there that provide more powerful vibrations, but again, this vibrator is not half bad and provides enough power for something so small. If you are looking for a vibrator that has deep, strong or intense vibrations I probably wouldn’t purchase this one, however!

The noise level is not that bad and I have no complaints in this area at all. I gave it three bees because it’s not quiet, but it’s not loud either. The sound level really does match the intensity of the vibrations. If you were to play with it under a comforter on your bed and muffle the sound, depending on how thick the covers were and how thin your walls are, you probably wouldn’t even hear it from outside your door. I will leave the noise level info at a minimum, seeing as how it all depends on the circumstances of the person purchasing this toy.

For me, I have heard much louder vibrators that sound like multiple lawn mowers are going off at the exact same time. I can assure you that this vibrator really is at the ‘medium’ point on the spectrum and some might even find it to be quieter than that.

If I haven’t said enough good about this vibrator, let me just add that it’s simple to clean. Yes, it actually is simple.

My method for this vibrator is to just use mild soap and warm water. You can probably use toy cleaner on it, but since toy cleaner is not my area of expertise, I just wouldn’t use anything too abrasive as this toy does have that silky coating that could possibly be damaged if you use anything too potent for long periods of time.

Also, since this vibrator doesn’t collect lint, you can actually dry it with a towel after washing it.

If you haven’t already “awww’d” at this vibrator’s packaging, you will when you buy it and see it for yourself. The vibrator sits vertically in a faux, bottle-looking plastic container, complete with a real bottle cap that does not screw or pop off. It does not show in the actual picture here on EdenFantasys, but when you receive it in the mail, there is a clear plastic piece that is placed on the top of the vibrator near the bottle cap to hold it upright. Overall the vibrator sits very snugly in its bottle, so you can shake it around and it won’t jostle it at all.

On the back of the bottle it has some minor info that reads:
“ • Shower & Bath friendly • Easy push button controls • Phthalate-free & body safe ABS • Smooth sensual coating • Maximum intensity • Minimal Noise ”

I suggest just as an idea that if you’re going to keep the vibrator in the bottle, be sure that you keep the plastic piece I talked about above, so that it will stay vertical at all times. Without this piece, the vibrator will just flop around inside the plastic bottle and I doubt anyone wants a floppy vibrator.
