One might think that the way to open the package is to pry off the bottle cap at the top of the package, but the actual mechanism is a screw-off base, which also acts as a holder for the vibrator when not in use. Keeping the Nova in the original packaging is a nice way to keep it clean and ready for use, and if you're worried about being discreet, you can simply slip the bottle in a toy bag or hide it underneath your pillow.
