Minivibe Bubbles - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Fun Factory - review by Neurogasm

The Fun Factory Bubbles is an awesome little toy that's double-awesome for shower or tub play. It's my go-to toy when I feel like taking a toy into the shower and the shape is really nice too. Best of all, it's rechargeable, so you don't have to worry about batteries. The best kind of vibrator, in my opinion, is one that's waterproof AND rechargeable, and the Bubbles has it all.

The Bubbles is made of 100% silicone, with a slightly velvety texture. Because of the texture and how wide it is, it takes a bit of lube to insert at first. However, it's more than worth it since it's body safe, phthalates free, and completely non-porous! It has some give to it, but it's pretty rigid underneath the silicone, so I wouldn't try bending it.

The Bubbles is 5 1/2" long in total, but only about 3 1/2" is insertable. That's a whole lot smaller than most toys I use internally, but I like to bring it out when I don't need to be completely filled up. The bubbly shape is really...well, cute. I don't usually go for a "cute" look to my toys, but the bubbles just sort of won me over. It's cute, but not cheesy, which I really like. The shape also has a bit of a bump to it, which makes for some pretty awesome g-spot stimulation. I've noticed that moving it quickly inside me makes a good deal more noise than my other toys do. This probably has something to do with the gap that the arrangement of bubbles makes. It doesn't bother me too much, especially in the shower when all I can hear is the water anyway.

I don't really like using the Bubbles clitorally, since the thickness of the silicone just dulls down the vibrations too much for me. I like pressure with my clit vibes, personally.

The controls are really, really simple. To turn it on, press and hold the + button for a couple of seconds. Then, use the + and - buttons to increase and decrease the speed. Once you've reached the highest setting, you can hold down the + button for a couple of seconds to go into the pulsation modes. It only has three speeds of pulsation (slow, fast, and faster), but they work very well.

The vibrations are strong, but not incredible. They are focused somewhere near the top of the shaft, around where the third bubble is. I like them, but I always find myself turning the toy all the way up. Noise-wise, it's not that loud, but I'd at least suggest covering up with a blanket. If you're using it in the shower or tub, you've got nothing to worry about.

This toy is also completely waterproof. You can completely submerge it, and it will still function normally. You can change the vibration speed and everything! It's awesome. The recharging function is also great. You just attach the magnetic adapter to the FUN logo on the end of the toy (make sure to face the toy so the letters are facing the same way as the charger). The first charge for mine took about 3 hours or so, but it lasts for a good while. I still haven't had mine completely run out on me, and I've had it for quite a few months.

Since the Bubbles is made of silicone, you shouldn't use silicone-based lube with it. To clean it, you can wash it with antibacterial soap and water or use toy cleaner or toy wipes. If you want to sterilize it, wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution. You shouldn't try boiling it because that can wreck the motor. Whatever you do, make sure to get into the crevices between the bubbles, because gunk likes to stay there.

I store mine in a plastic bag, as I do with all of my silicone toys, because I don't want it to get shoved together with my other silicone toys and start breaking down. That doesn't happen often, but I've had it happen to one of my other toys. I'm not keen on it happening again.

I'll admit, the first time I used this toy in the shower, I forgot lube. Ouch. Once I dragged myself out and got the lube on it, though, it was amazing. Waterproof toys are something you don't really appreciate until you don't have any and you really want one to use in the shower or tub. Splash-proof toys are okay, but I really prefer a toy you can submerge, so you don't even have to worry about it. I love, love, love this toy, and I think it's well worth the investment. Fun Factory absolutely knows what it's doing!
