The MiniVibe Bubbles is another of Fun Factory's magnetic click and charge vibe series. The MiniVibe Bubbles is my second experience with this line of toys. I've appreciated my Bimini Ocean and was looking to try something a little different. The Bubbles does not have a clitoral attachment, but the bubbles are a chance to try textures. If properly lubed, the Bubbles could be something beginners can try (not first time toy users, perhaps, but those who have had a toy or two first), just be aware that the girth is a bit larger than average. I would recommend starting gently with this toy so you can discover how you will best appreciate the texture without aggravating the lady bits (everyone is different).

The Bubbles is probably best for intermediate to advanced users who don't desire a ton of length but want a little girth with their toys. It has all the qualities a more advanced user demands from their toy: it's strong, discreet, waterproof, and rechargeable. This makes it a great option for those who live with others or are in dorms. The MiniVibe Bubbles is not as large as other vibrators, so it's easier to hide and you won't be heard beyond your door. If you have roommates, you can whisk the Bubbles into the shower. It is completely submersible.

Use the MiniVibe Bubbles for teasing, vaginal insertion, and potential G-spotting since the top bubbles has a bit of an angle to it. The MiniVibe Bubbles is not intended or designed for anal play. It's a bit wide and far from tapered to ease in anal penetration. Couple that with the lack of flared base and you have a toy far from anal safe and friendly.

The MiniVibe Bubbles is made from silicone. Fun Factory silicone (at least for this line of vibes) is good, just not fantastic. It is not up there with Je Joue or LELO, but it's still a decent silicone. It has some drag, but it can be alleviated with some water based lubricant. Silicone ranks a 10 out of 10 on the Eden materials scale. It is non porous, so the toy has a longer shelf life and bacteria can't live inside of it. Silicone is also hypoallergenic and phthalate free.

The MiniVibe Bubbles does have some texture. The bubbles themselves are smooth, but the joints between them have seams that can be easily felt. Also, the widening of each bubbles allows a range of widths, which can be felt. The overall texture does not make this toy the best for thrusting; entrance play is a great option for this one. Again, the texture is not that exclusive for users; I think the changing widths might be though.

Other than that, the bubbles are smooth. There are four bubbles in total. The toy does have a bit of give, making it easier to use, but it doesn't compromise performance (I believe). There is no overt smell or taste with this toy.

The MiniVibe Bubbles is quite whimsy. It is a toy for those who like to have a more eclectic collection. There are for bubbles on the toy that are stacked unevenly on top of each other. Each bubble is about an inch tall. The MiniVibe Bubbles has a total length of 5.5 inches with an insertable length of 3.25 inches. The length is preferred for those who like more petite toys, but size queens may just throw this at my head. The MiniVibe Bubbles had a max circumference of 5.5 inches. For comparison, the average girth of toys is around 4.5 to 4.75 inches. This, the MiniVibe Bubbles is a bit on the girthy side. This is something to be aware of.

In terms of discretion: it may be a funky, whimsy vibe, but it's pretty obvious what the Bubbles is used for. It should be kept out of view of guests so you don't have to have an awkward conversation. Still, the MiniVibe Bubbles is easy to travel with. Wrap it and it can fit in a medium sized purse or larger bag with ease. In terms of noise, the Bubbles is about 2 Bees. You shouldn't be heard beyond a closed door and blanket. When in doubt, you can always take this toy safely into the tub or shower.

The controls for the Bubbles is pretty straight forward. There are two buttons: a plus and a minus. Hold the plus button to turn the toy on and the minus to turn it off. The Bubbles has standard vibrations and a few patterns. The standard vibes have a range and with each press of the plus button they increase in intensity. The vibrations are rumbly in nature, and travel well through the silicone. This toy earns a solid to high 4 vrooms at top power. And at top power, it's a moderate to low 2 Bees.

Once you get to the highest standard vibration, press the plus button again to get to the patterns. The patterns include accelerating and various pulsations. I've seen that some contributors wish the Bubbles was longer. I could see an increased length making the toy more ergonomic to handle. Again, since I only use this toy shallowly, this isn't a problem for me. Still, it's something to be aware of.

Charging: The click n' charge charger is more like "click, check, move, check, click, check, done." It can be a bit finicky, but this is by no means a deal breaker. To charge, line up the letters on the base of the toy with the ones on the charger. When connected properly it should flash red. Once you set it to charge, it's best to double check that it still is a few minutes later. Sometimes, while placing the toy down, you can jostle the charger. It takes about a couple of hours to charge and less depending on how close to dead the Bubbles was.

While I have heard some issues with toys in the G4 line holding a small charge (like an hour or less), the MiniVibes seem to be like energizer bunnies. Both my Bimini and Bubbles seem to hold a charge for over an hour easily. Since I am paranoid on my toy dying out on me I tend to charge it after 5 or 6 uses (about an hour and a half). The Bubbles is also fully waterproof and submersible given its magnetic charger, so it's easy to use in the shower or bath. It works wonderfully.

Care for the MiniVibe Bubbles isn't too bad. Since the toy can be submersed, you can let it soak in the sink with some soap and water. Toy cleaners and wipes are also other options. Just put extra effort in cleaning the seams between bubbles because that is where debris will collect. Dry the Bubbles with a lint free cloth.

The MiniVibe Bubbles does collect a bit of lint. It is not an extreme amount, but you can see little fuzzies collect on the toy if you leave it out. If anything, you can rinse or wipe the toy down before use. Once dry, the MiniVibe Bubbles can be stored in a silk/satin pouch or wrapped in a lint free cloth. Keep it from direct contact with Jelly, Rubber, and TPE/TPR toys. These toys can both contaminate your Bubbles and cause a reaction to the silicone coating.

Only use water based lubricants to maintain the silicone coating.

Packaging is the standard Fun Factory vibe style. The box is grey with red letterring. It has a magnetic flap that lets you open it to see the toy in a clear, plastic window. The panels that open also have information about the toy, which is nice. The packaging is tastefully one, but not discreet since it's obvious there is a sex toy inside (but no raunchy people, yay!).

The charger comes in a separate box and the box has the same design to it. Also with the packaging you get a sample of Fun Factory's toy fluid, which is always nice. I do wish that the Bubbles came with a pouch for storage since it does have a penchant for picking up lint and fuzz. If giving this as a gift, an additional pouch would be a nice touch.

I usually include pictures in my reviews, and I apologize for the lack of them. My computer has died and the current (scavenged) one I have doesn't seem to want to upload pictures. Depending on how long this takes, I may have a bit of a dry spell with photos. If/when I can upload pictures I shall.

That aside, I'm happy with my Bubbles purchase. I still prefer my Bimini Ocean to the Bubbles. For me, I cannot thrust with the Bubbles. It is still great for me when I just want to stimulate the vaginal entrance. It is a good teaser and can easily get you in the mood. This probably won't be my all time favorite vibe, but I can see it sticking around in my go-to box of toys. I'll probably get the Bimini Flash soon and see how it stacks up compared to my other two.

Overall, I think the price is decent for the vibe you get. The Bubbles is unique and fun (and reminds me of an overloaded ice cream cone). It's a must have if you love whimsy.
