Minivibe Bubbles - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Fun Factory - review by Airen Wolf

I was prepared to be disappointed by this vibrator. It's brand new technology and that usually means bugs and problematic functions. I was blown away by the Minivibe Bubbles.

This vibrator is meant to be used to stimulate the clitoris, labia and even the "g" spot. It feels amazing run over the breasts, over the back and neck as well. It isn't recommended for anal use because it doesn't have a flared base and it isn't the longest of toys. There's no dedicated handle making this one brilliant escape artist should the anal muscles clamp down and draw this baby lovingly in.

In the literature provided with the toy comes the warning not to use this toy on unexplained calf pain. The reason is a sound one as unexplained calf pain could be a symptom of DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) which is a blood clot deep in the veins of the legs. Vibration can dislodge the clot sending it to the brain, heart and/or lungs leading to all sorts of complications. If you suddenly develop leg pain, especially with accompanying redness, or heat, go to the doctor. It might be a pulled muscle but it could be something much worse.

This toy is great for partner play since the tip of the toy is round and the silicone is soft enough not to cause discomfort with vigorous thrusting. It easily reaches the "g" spot, provided yours is not extremely hard to reach, and the vibrations and patterns are easily felt as a deeper thrumming rather than a high pitched buzz.

Solo or with a partner this toy is amazing. It fits easily in the hand and isn't too heavy or too light. I can't imagine an occasion where you will be masturbating or playing with a partner that Bubbles couldn't be included.

The Minivibe Bubbles is made of 100% silicone that is non-porous, phthalates free, hypo-allergenic, made of food-grade material, and latex free. There is no noticeable smell or taste to the toy. It can pick up smells with use but a thorough cleaning and air drying should remedy this. The silicone is silky, soft and squishy. The toy has lots of give and can be bent slightly in all directions so it won't cause bruising to soft vaginal tissues with thrusting.

The toy has a series of four "bubbles" attached to a black plastic base which is where the magnetic plug charges the battery. The bubbles provide an amazingly filling experience without being harsh or feeling painful when thrust inside the vagina. They can be easily felt and the vibrations/pulsations of the toy seem to accentuate the sensations provided by the bubbles. The third bubble from the base is off center making this toy a great "g" spotter.

The texture is great for all users regardless of level of expertise. The size is substantial without being overly threatening for those who like smaller vibes or beginners.

Equipped with a lithium polymer accumulator (battery) and motor that is completely surrounded by the silicone and plastic means this toy is 100% waterproof. The toy is about 5 1/2" long with an insertable length of about 3 1/4". The bubbles are approximately 5 1/4" in circumference and the whole thing weighs in at about 9 oz. It isn't a tiny little toy though it is on the smaller side lengthwise. It is fairly girth-y but since it has a lot of "give" it should fill most people up without causing discomfort. I would recommend this to a beginner or an advanced user as it has a very low learning curve and comes with great instructions about proper usage and care. It is a pricey item but well worth the initial expense.

The Minivibe Bubbles fits easily into my hand and the plastic end of the toy provides a great handle. It can get slippery with lube or natural lubrication but this wasn't a detraction for me. It has a good heft to it but not enough to cause wrist fatigue. The toy works great for partner play and the natural give of the silicone means it is unlikely to cause pain or discomfort even with vigorous thrusting.

I was amazed at how great the toy's various functions felt and how quickly my body responded to it. The curved top found my "g" spot like a guided missile and the vibrations drove me over the edge much to mine and my partner's delight. The silicone is silky but has just the right amount of "drag" when used to stimulate the clitoris. It is easy to change the amount of drag with the use of water based lube. I like a thrusting toy to complete my clitoral orgasm and this toy fit the bill perfectly. The four bubbles filled me without stretching my sensitive tissues and glided easily without the need for extra lubrication. Not all women can produce enough lubrication for effortless thrusting so I would recommend a bottle of water based lube be nearby just in case. The toy slid easily inside of me due to the silky silicone and round tip. This toy has given me a new appreciation for blunt ended toys! I like my cervix touched and this toy was gentle enough to provide lovely stimulation with out causing cramps or bruising.

The toy is very discreet and doesn't scream sex toy. It doesn't have a face or odd colors. Mine is soft blue and fits easily in a bedside drawer. The charger shouldn't be left plugged in when the toy isn't being charged and can be secreted easily in the same bedside table drawer. I would recommend that you store this toy in a plastic bag, or small box as silicone toys don't play together well. I store mine in custom created plastic canvas boxes which keeps them from melting onto each other.

Traveling with this toy shouldn't be a major issue as its simple shape won't raise eyebrows. It is small enough to tuck inside an overnight bag along with its charger. It might be a bit big for carrying inside an evening bag but if you regularly carry a larger sized purse it wouldn't be a problem.

I love the innovative features this toy offers! The controls are conveniently placed and easy to use even with lube slick fingers. The toy has a plus and minus sign integrated into the design that controls the vibration features. It is located just above the plastic base and is very easy to use even during play. It won't easily shut off or change function even with vigorous play. To turn the toy on you simply press and hold the + button. It will begin at the lowest setting of straight vibration. If you hold down the button it will slowly cycle up in intensity allowing you to choose the setting that feels the best to your body. If you prefer patterns to straight vibrations simply cycle the toy up to highest vibration and then click the button again to gain access to the patterns. There are three patterns: a slower pulse, a faster pulse, and a different frequency pulse that is hard to describe. What I found unique about these pulses is they make the toy seem to undulate inside of you! The vibrations are concentrated in the last bubble at the tip but are easily felt all along the shaft of the toy, and I do mean easily felt! This isn't a gentle little buzz this is a deeper, wilder pulse type buzz that can be felt all through the pelvic region. Though I like the toy as a thrusting toy it is amazing to just stroke the shaft inside of your vagina and then let the pulses and undulation take you over the edge.

The toy is easy to turn off though it isn't instantaneous. Simply press and hold the - button until it cycles down through the frequencies, then double click to be sure it is totally off.

This toy claims to be whisper quiet but I found it to be fairly noisy and noticeable. If you are in bed your partner is going to know you are using this toy. It can't be easily heard through covers and a closed door when inserted but if you are using it for clitoral or nipple stimulation it can be heard through the door on the higher settings.

The toy is waterproof and works beautifully in the shower or the tub. I found that outside of the water the porcelain of the bathroom magnified the sounds of the vibrator but underwater it was muffled sufficiently. I didn't notice any bubbles that would indicate water getting into the inner workings of the motor and I can find no evidence that the water in any way affected the performance of the toy.

The toy took about 2 hours to charge fully the first time and after several uses in various rooms and activities it is still holding a charge. The insert cautions against running the battery totally out or storing the toy with the battery totally uncharged after initial charging. Apparently frequent use and charging will prolong the useful life of the battery, so I won't be running the battery totally out anytime soon!

The toy charges by means of a magnet at the end of the charger cord, which plugs into any wall socket. It attaches at the base of the toy and a red LED light comes on to let you know proper connection has been made. It is very easy to knock the charger magnet off the toy so care should be taken while charging. When the toy is completely charged the LED light shuts off and won't turn back on when repositioned. The toy will not charge while it is running so be sure to turn it off before charging, or do as the insert suggests and always charge before use! It takes less time to charge after the initial first charge which took 2 hours on my toy. After that charge it seems to take roughly 30 minutes to charge fully.

This is a 100% silicone toy so it is very non-porous. Soap and water or a commercial toy cleaner will work like a charm. You can also wash it down with a 10% bleach solution but I wouldn't suggest submerging it in boiling water, though I suppose you could carefully pour boiling water over the toy. Personally, I think a good washing with whatever you use to cleanse your private parts and hot water should be sufficient.

If you plan to share the toy during play, then a condom keeps everyone from getting everyone else's germs and should be changed with each change of player. This isn't an anal toy due to the non flared base so that should be kept in mind.

Silicone toys don't store well with other silicone toys so some separation is required. I make small boxes for all my toys to prevent toy interaction and to keep things organized but you could use plastic zip lock bags, sew cloth bags or even use old or mismatched socks to store toys.

Likewise silicone toys don't get along with silicone lube so use a water based lube or perform a small patch test on an unnoticeable area of the toy to be safe. Since this isn't a low price toy I'd simply use a water based lube like Maximus or Pink Water to prevent ruining such an investment.

The minivibe Bubbles arrives in a soft cardboard box with plastic insert that is molded to fit the toy. The packaging is in tones of light brown and red, it is surprisingly discreet even though you can see the toy through the packaging. The charger arrives in a separate box of the same coloring. The toy and charger come with detailed instructions regarding care and upkeep of the toy as well as instructions on how and when to charge it. I definitely recommend reading the instructions thoroughly before using the toy, especially the section entitled "Important Technical Info". The information regarding the lithium polymer accumulator is interesting as well as it teaches you how to keep your battery happy, healthy and going strong!

The package could be used as a storage box for the toy if reasonable care is taken when opening the box. The charger box is great for storing the charger when not in use.
This would be a very thoughtful gift for a loved one as far as I am concerned. It's not too terribly personal and should appeal to a wide variety of tastes.

As I mentioned before it would be very advisable that you read the included instructions and cautions. This isn't a cheap toy and could easily be ruined but with proper care it could last a good long time.

The toy does pick up lint so rinse it off before play for best results. This is not a toy that will do well in sunlight so store it away in a dry, dark area if possible.

I held my breath that I would be accepted as a reviewer for this product and it has left me wanting to invest in the whole line. The click and charge feature is innovative and amazingly simple. This toy offers strong vibrations, interesting patterns, is so easy to care for and is 100% waterproof. What's not to love?
