Gee, Gigi!

This is a magnificent toy from a great company that allows the user to explore their g-spot in a very easy manner and unintimidating way. The product has superior craftsmanship and is built to last. It has a rechargeable battery so there's no need to worry about finding batteries for it. It's also quite so you do not have to worry about nosy neighbors hearing you through thin walls.
High quality toy with great warranty
Some do not care for rechargeable toys and prefer batteries.

extremely useful review

Gigi by Lelo is designed for g-spot exploration. It could also be used for external stimulation as well to tease and caress your body during foreplay over all of your erogenous zones that enjoy attention and being stimulated. I bought it for the specific purpose of g-spot exploration because I have not been able to find mine and am on the hunt for something that works for my body.

You can use it on your own or with a partner inserting it in you. My husband does not really enjoy toys so I tend to be left alone to explore on my own. I believe I would have better success if I had a partner helping me guide the toys, but that is just not the case.

I feel this would be best for those who are just starting to experiment with g-spot toys and exploration like myself. It did not deliver results in that aspect, but I feel that it was a nice tool to help me get familiar with using toys specifically designed for this purpose. It is not intimidating so beginners shouldn't be wary.

I’m a beginner when it comes to using toys for g-spot exploration, but I can say the tip inserted easily and the 4” insertable length should be enough for those that have already located their g-spot. This is not my case so I cannot definitively say if it is a good match with my anatomy or not.

Material / Texture

It is made out of a smooth, soft, velvety 100% body-safe silicone. Silicone is one of the safest product materials on the market and is considered a 10 on the safety scale because it isn't porous and won't harbor bacteria. It is also made out of food-grade material, is phthalate free, latex free and hypoallergenic.

It is ideal for those who prefer smooth toys because there is no added texture anywhere. The core of the toy is very hard and firm which means there is no flexibility to this at all. The firmness allows for better pressure to be applied to the g-spot. There is no seam on the toy which is wonderful because you do not have to worry about it potentially catching on your delicate areas. There’s a seam along the handle but that part is not inserted.

Mine did not have any odor even right out of the box and it also does not have any taste.

Design / Shape / Size

Gigi comes in three colors: turquoise, pink, and purple. I chose turquoise because I love blue and was wanting to add some variety to my already purple toy box. It is white at the base and has a silver band around it.

Gigi’s design is pretty simple. She's curved at the top for g-spot stimulation. I was not able to hit my g-spot with it, but every woman's anatomy is designed differently so others may be able hit theirs.

Gigi’s tip measures 1 1/2” long by 1 1/2" wide with a girth of 3 3/4. The overall length is 7” with an insertable length of 4”. It is 3 1/4” around directly under the tip and 3” in the middle. The base is 4 1/4” wide. She is small enough to fit in your hand and is very easy to use.

I think her size is suitable for beginners and advanced users alike. She is more sophisticated in appearance than your realistic toys so beginners wouldn't be intimidated by having her. Advanced users will appreciate her silky appearance and her safety features. Although Gigi isn't a realistic sex-toy it is obvious what her intended use is so if being discreet is important to you, please hide her when not in use.

Gigi is small enough for travel and will fit easily in your purse, bag, or jacket pocket.

Here are some comparison photos of Gigi with Rockstar Stevie. They are shaped similar, but Gigi's head is smaller than Stevie and she's hard whereas Stevie is very flexible.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The controls are one of the oddest I have seen on a vibrator. They are located on the handle of the toy and are very similar to a game controller with up, down, right, and left buttons. The right and left buttons are + and – buttons. To use, hold the + to turn on. Continue pressing it to increase the levels of vibration. It has 7 levels of vibration starting off fairly low almost non-existent and steadily increases in power to a pretty steady 4 vroom at the highest setting. Press the – to decrease the vibration levels. To turn off, hold down the – until it is completely off. The up and down buttons allow you to go into the five pre-programmed stimulation modes. You can press the + to increase the power in these modes which is a really nice feature. Press up to go to the next pattern, and press down to go back to the previous pattern.

The 5 settings are as follows:
1) Continuous vibration
2) Pulse-pulse-pulse
3) Fast pulse-pulse-pulse
4) Fastest pulse-pulse-pulse
5) Roller coaster that revs up and then goes down and then repeats.

The instruction manual says to charge the unit monthly. It was not charged when it came to me so I had to charge it before playing with it. To charge, remove the protective silicone cap on the back. Insert the DC plug into the socket until you feel it click, and then insert the main plug into a wall socket. The white LED light will pulse to indicate it is charging. Once completely charged, it will quit blinking and emit a steady glow. It takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge and the instruction manual states it will give you up to 4 hours of pleasure after fully charged and has a standby time of up to 90 days. It contains a Lithium-Ion 450 mAH 3.7V rechargeable battery.. Do not use while charging and do not charge for more than 24 hours.

If the battery is running low, the LED will start to glow red informing the user it is time to charge. I like this feature because I have products that have quit on me without warning in the middle of things.

Gigi is fairly quite at the lowest settings and at the highest setting can be heard over the covers, but not through a closed door or through thin walls.

I have found when used for internal stimulation if you squeeze your pc muscles it will lessen the intensity of the Gigi. You can even hear the difference in the motor from when you squeeze and release. I don't personally like that aspect of it, but it does give me an indication that I'm performing my kegel exercises.

The vibrations are nice and rumbly which I love. They can be felt throughout the entire shaft of the toy, but more so around the tip. If you play for a long time with Gigi, she tends to warm up and can cause your skin to become warm as well so I would not recommend using her continuously in the same place for a long period of time.

Care and Maintenance

It is compatible with water-based lube and you can use warm water and soap to clean it or use your favorite toy cleaner. Lelo recommends you not use silicone-based lube as this could make Gigi’s silicone become permanently tacky. A water-based lube is the safest option. If you absolutely must use a silicone lube, perform a patch test first. Also, do not submerge in water, do not boil, do not store in direct sunlight, and do not clean with alcohol.

Always unplug before cleaning and make sure it is completely dry before reconnecting the charger and plugging it into an outlet.

Gigi is presented as a box inside of a box. The original box matches the color of the product, has Lelo written on top, shows a picture of the Gigi, and has information regarding it around the outside of the box. Inside this box is a black box that I would gladly use as a gift box. It could also be used to store a few smaller toys, condoms, wipes, etc. in it for easy access and I would not be ashamed to leave it out on my nightstand.

Inside the packaging is the toy, charger, storage pouch, instruction manual, and sample of their lubricant. I really like the fact Lelo gives the buyer a storage pouch for Gigi because Je Joue fails to do that with their products and I've always been disappointed.

Personal comments

Lelo has a 1 year warranty and a 10 year quality guarantee after the date of original purchase against defects due to faulty workmanship and materials. As with any warranty, any attempt to open or take apart the vibe will invalidate the warranty. The 10 year quality guarantee says if your item breaks within 10 years they will reduce 50% off the listed price of a new Lelo vibe.

This was my first Lelo product that I have purchased. Although I was not able to find my g-spot with this toy, I do not fault Gigi for it. I'm still new to g-spot exploration and do not know where my spot is located, and do not have a partner that is willing to help me in this endeavor. I would highly recommend this toy because it is not intimidating and is a very nicely crafted toy and I plan on buying other Lelo products in the near future.
Follow-up commentary
I like the design of Gigi as well as the firmness Gigi offers. It doesn't have quite as much power to it that I'm becoming to require, but I still feel this is a great toy that is highly crafted and should last the user a long time.
