I'm a big fan of simple clitoral vibes. I was saddened to find out that my favorite vibe of all time (the Jolie by Natural Contours) is unfortunately discontinued when I went to order a new one (my old one is on its last leg after almost 10 years of use). I ordered the Essence as a possible replacement for my old friend, and I'm glad to say I was pleased with what I got!

The only problem I had with the toy when I first opened it was where to put the batteries in. After reading the directions and being confused for a bit, I figured out that I had to pull the toy apart and then snap it back together after putting the battery in. The controls are pretty straight forward (twist for on or off) and it only has one speed, but it's surprisingly powerful! The vibrations are also "rumbly" which I need and love without making the toy too loud. The head of the toy is a bit larger than you would expect compared to the base, and the design probably could have been improved by leaving the base off or making the toy one solid piece. I didn't really notice any extra stimulation from the silicone "nubs" at the end, but they do make the toy look cute with the color contrast.

Overall, I love the toy. I am confused as to why it's marketed as a "G-Spot toy" since it seems too small to insert. Obviously, I haven't used it as a G-Spot stimulator, but if you're in the market for a fairly strong clitoral vibe, this may be just the thing for you. It doesn't have many bells and whistles, but it works and it's waterproof, so what more could a girl ask for?
