Essence pure energy - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by PurpleDragonLady

I was given the "Essence Pure Energy" as a gift. I was initially impressed with the power I felt when I tested it. It felt like it could do the job.

When I actually used it, I was slightly disappointed when it came to using it for clitoral stimulation. I couldn't feel the nubs on the tip.

The vibrations seem to be just as much in the body of the vibrator rather than being concentrated in the tip. The tip is where I expected the vibrations to be concentrated since it has been made with the "silicone nubby tip" for clitoral and G-spot stimulation (be sure to use water-based lubricant with this toy or one of the newer silicone/water-based mixed lubricants to be sure the silicone tip does not end up ruined and useless). This put just as much vibration in my hand, holding the toy for use, as there was where I wanted and needed the stimulation.

I tried using it for clitoral stimulation as well as for G-spot stimulation. I prefer it for clitoral stimulation. I eventually got to climax but felt it could have been faster if the Essence was designed a slight bit differently. I think the nubs could have attributed to this as they are somewhat flat, not giving much friction. With the shape of the Essence, it may not be preferred by some for clitoral stimulation because you are getting a lot of vibration in your hand, and unless you are able to ignore that, you may almost miss the vibration on the clitoris.

For G-spot stimulation, I found that although the packaging indicates "the perfect angle", it wasn't the right angle for me though it may be perfect for others.

I think it is a good starter vibrator as it is not an obnoxious looking toy. It has a pleasant look, and it is available in pretty/fun colors.

I like that it takes only 1 AA battery. This makes it an economical investment for the toy box. I find majority of my personal toys require AA batteries, so I do not have to make a special trip for different batteries as I keep plenty of AA sized batteries on hand. There is considerable vibration power considering the battery power available.

I used this alone, so do not have an opinion (yet) about using it with a partner. I plan to have an opinion on that aspect soon.

I used a mild clitoral stimulation gel while using the Essence as I do when I normally use a vibrator on the clitoral area.
