L’Amoure p.w. Pleasure System by Cal Exotics is yet another way to build up those sought after kegel muscles. Exercising your PC muscles improves vaginal tone, and can help you achieve easier, stronger orgasms. Using exercisers, like the Pleasure System, is a physical reminder for you to exercise your muscles. Beads such as these are meant as more of a workout toy than a masturbation product. But you certainly can get a lot of pleasure out of them, none the less.

Pleasure beads are designed after an ancient sex toy known as Ben Wa balls. Usually hollow with a weight in the center for extra stimulation, these balls are placed in the vagina to create a subtle stimulation. The goal of using Ben Wa balls is to keep them in place using the PC muscles. Small dense weights will provide more of a workout. Their large size make these a good beginner’s set.

These are made of hard plastic with a soft silicone retrieval tail. The silicone retrieval tail is an improvement upon most of these exercise balls, which often have nylon or cotton strings. These tend to harbor bacteria. The silicone is strong and stretchy, so you shouldn’t fear breakage. Since these are partially silicone, use a water based lube to insert them, if necessary. There are moving beads in the balls, which provide a slight vibration when rocked.

The pleasure system balls are each 2 ½ inches long and about 4 ½ inches in circumference. The whole system, balls and string, is about 8 inches in length. The size would seem to hint at these being a beginner’s set. If your muscles aren’t that strong, the larger size makes them pretty easy to hold in.

Each ball is encircled by a decorative seam. The seam makes me a little nervous, as it could make cleaning difficult and harbor bacteria. Otherwise, these are of a pretty utilitarian design -- soft colors, round hard plastic balls, silicone string. The small inner ball provides electricity-free vibrations. Their size and shape made me think they looked a lot like two silly putty containers connected by a string ¯\_(?)_/¯

To us these, lubricate the top of the first ball with a water based lube. Gently insert the first ball into the vagina. Insert only until the second ball is halfway inserted. This will prevent discomfort from cervical bumping and provide more of a challenge to hold them in.

Vaginal exercise balls are not intended for anal use. I would not suggest using them for such, unless you want a trip to the ER.

These balls provide a reminder to exercise your kegels. They may not necessarily be pleasurable, or they may only provide subtle pleasure. In my experience, the rotating inner ball knocking around inside my vagina felt more like a fart coming on than any kind of pleasurable vibration. You can kind of hear the inner ball roll around from outside your body, too. A little weird. Other than that these worked about as well as any other Ben Wa ball product that I have used. My vagina seems to suck them up with ease, so little need to try and hold them in. They do provide a physical reminder to squeeze every now and then, though.

The pleasure system is easy to store and clean. Simply wash with soap and water upon removal. Be sure to wash the seam thoroughly, as it may provide a place for bacteria to hide away. I store these in small cloth bag, but they can be stored wherever you feel is safe.
