Mona 2 - g-spot vibrator by LELO - review by Zandrock

The Mona 2 by Lelo is a vibrator with the G-spot in mind. One of the best features of this toy is that it is truly beginner friendly. I have found a lot of luxury vibrators tend to be a bit larger in size, and that can be difficult for some people. The Mona 2 is a very slim, but powerful vibrator. It has an upwards curve designed to stimulate the G-spot, but can be used on any erogenous zone, such as the clitoris, nipples, head of the penis, thighs, etc. You technically could use this anally, but it has no flare and is not that long, so there would be some risk involved and I would suggest against it.

As I stated this is a very beginner friendly toy, but it still provides great vibrations anybody can enjoy. The power and interesting settings make it good for anyone as long as size is not their primary concern.

The Mona 2 is composed of silicone in the head portion which rates a 10/10 for safety according to EF and for a lot of reasons. Firstly it is extremely body safe. It is hypoallergenic, latex free, phthalate free, and non-porous. Because it is non porous it is extremely easy to clean. You can use just soap and water In porous materials bacteria can live in the pores and then it is impossible to clean, because sometimes the soap and water will not reach them. With a non-porous material there can only be bacteria on the surface of the toy, so cleaning with soap and water will kill all of them. The toy has no odor and no taste (if you have just washed it of course) which is nice.

Lelo's silicone is a very soft and smooth finish, probably one of the smoothest I have felt. There is very little drag to it and the toy will be very easy to insert, especially with a dab of lubricant.

The head is very rigid, this is likely a good thing, because it keeps the head pointing up towards the G-spot. This toy has no real smell or taste to it. Silicone is very neutral as is the plastic.

The bottom of the toy (the handle) is composed of ABS plastic. It to is non-porous. It is not as important, because it is not going to be inserted in your body. The plastic is very hard, very smooth, has no taste, or smell, and it works well for a handle. There is not much else to say about it.

If you look you can see a slight seam running along the toy. However you cannot feel this toy when it is inserted, so there is nothing to worry about. The toy has no texture to it, making is very smooth and very beginner friendly. I think this would be a really good first luxury vibrator for a person to buy.

As you can see from that this is a smaller toy in terms of diameter. It is a full length toy though. I enjoy the diameter of the toy. It makes it very easy to use. We do not need much foreplay before we use this toy, it is good for days when my girlfriend is tighter, and the slim size is good for massaging other areas.

The toy has an upwards curve that is designed for G-spot stimulation, and I think it is a nice design. Each person is going to vary in how much pressure and how curve they want on their vibrator. There are toys out there that have more curve, but I think this one will fit everybody. It will not be too aggressive for anyone.

The toy is a bit larger, so hiding it or carrying it in a purse could be tricky. But throwing it in a suitcase or in a drawer in your room would be very easy to do.

The Mona 2 has four buttons on the interface. There is an up and down that scroll through 6 functions, and there is a plus and a minus that increase the intensity of the vibrations.

The patterns are quite varied and interesting. Typically we prefer straight vibrations, but these are fun from time to time. The buttons on the toy are very straightforward and very easy to use. They do take up more space, but it is the most user-friendly interface I have seen.

The vibrations are located primarily in the head of the toy, because they are strong they do travel down the handle to some extent, but not very much. I do not think you hand will get numb using this toy. The vibrations themselves are lovely. They are a deep rumbly powerful vibration that feels really good according to my girlfriend.

The toy is marketed as waterproof. I was very skeptical because there is only a silicone or plastic piece that keeps the charger dry, and the buttons look like they would get wet. Although I have not tried this toy underwater other reviews have said they have and that it worked. So this toy is waterproof.

The toy is quite quiet. I do not think you can hear it through a door. If you have a room to yourself you definitely have all the privacy you need to use this toy. Which is a nice feature too.

This toy is rechargeable which I very much like. It takes around 2 hours to get up to a 4 hour charge out of this toy. There is a small charging port at the bottom of the toy that you plug in. I have found it holds a charge well and that coming back after a couple of days it still has good power left in it.

Overall this toy performed great. It provided nice stimulation and was easy to use.

This toy is very easy to take care of; Just wash it with soap and water after each use. Because it is waterproof you can run water over it.

Because of the electrical components you should not boil this toy or stick it in the dishwasher. You might be able to sterilize it in a 10% bleach solution, but it might damage something. I am unsure about this and you would have to do some research.

Silicone and ABS plastic are very easy to take care of. It is non-porous so it does not harbor any bacteria or germs. After soap and water the toy is very clean and could likely be shared between partners (there is a bit of risk with just soap and water).

Storing the toy is easy because it comes with a nice storage pouch. Its just a bag with drawstrings that fits both the Mona 2, your warranty card, and the charger.

Because this is a silicone based toy you should NOT use it with a silicone based lubricant. Instead use a water based lubricant. The toy is nice and smooth with low drag and I found you did not need that much lubricant. If you get really wet you might not even need any.

The Mona 2 comes in a lovely box. When you first get it there is a purple sleeve. If you remove the purple sleeve you are left with a thick black cardboard box. When you open up the cardboard box there is the Mona 2 lying in a cut out for it. Overall the packaging is very sleek and sexy and cute and fun. It really makes you feel like you are getting a luxurious toy.

There is a small instruction booklet that tells you about this toys warranty (1 year limited warranty they will replace it, 10 year warranty where they will give you a discount on your next purchase). It is very useful and tells you everything you want to know.

The packaging is not discreet, it shows photos of the vibrator, but it is classy.

You could use the box for storage, but it comes with a storage pouch that takes up a lot less room.
