Sqweely Wheely

This little ugly duckling may rock your world... or not. Everyone's experience will be different, especially with such a unique toy. If you want to try a toy to stimulate a licking, then this is worth a try. It's still something worth trying just for the new sensations.

Use

So maybe the Sqweel 2 has a face only a mother would love, but it is a fair improvement from its predecessor! The Sqweel 2 is an oral sex stimulator for women (though men could try it, if they liked). This toy is unique in that it isn't technically a vibrator: nothing vibrates. Instead, the Sqweel 2 has a motor that causes its wheel of 10 tongues to spin at varying speeds and patterns. It can be used to stimulate and titillate other erogenous zones as well.

The Sqweel 2 is not the most discreet toy. If you don't want to be heard, you're going to need some background noise like the TV or some music. The shower sadly isn't an option since the Sqweel 2 is far from waterproof. It's not the best toy for dorm situations or those who live with others.

Given the nature and design of the toy, the Sqweel 2 can work for all levels of experience. It is relatively easy to use and more... ugly duckling than intimidating. If you can get over its very funky looks to experience a new type of stimulation, this may be for you. The Sqweel 2 is also that type of toy collectors may like because it is so different from anything else on the market.

Material / Texture

The tongue wheel on the Sqweel 2 is made of silicone. Silicone rates a 10 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale. It is non porous and hypoallergenic, so it's built to withstand wear and tear. There is a seam that runs down the middle of the wheel, bisecting each tongue. It is present but not noticeable during use. The tongues can flex but they have resistance to them. They hold their shape and take some force to bend. They are firm enough for their use for most women.

The rest of the Sqweel 2 is made from shiny, smooth plastic. Plastic rates an 8 out of 10 on the materials scale, which is very good as well (non porous). The cover is a translucent pink that snaps on the top to protect the tongues and innards from dust. There is a part that comes undone in the center to reveal the wheel. The biggest part, the white plastic body that encases the motor, is very smooth, so it might slip from your hands if you get lubricant on them. Speaking of which, you'll need lubricant for this toy, and probably more than just a drop (it's explicitly stated in the instructions). Use only water based lubricant due to the silicone tongues.

There are no overt odors to the Sqweel 2. The texture and materials of this toy are friendly for beginners yet intriguing and attractive to more advanced users.

Design / Shape / Size

While the design isn't necessarily pretty or artistic, it's probably difficult trying to make silicone tongues look like luxury. The tongues on the wheel are basically stimulating spokes. It can be used by yourself or (which can be much easier) a partner can use it on you. The Sqweel 2 is big enough to hold and pinches a bit toward the bottom to make it easier to hold. Overall, the Sqweel 2 is 5 inches long/tall. It is not designed nor intended for insertion. Therefore, size is a non issue.

The Sqweel 2 is far from discreet in terms of sound and looks. It does look like a crazy, whacky sex toy. Hide it in your drawer or wherever your general toy storage is. If using the Sqweel 2, especially on the higher settings, you'll probably be heard beyond a closed door is it's pretty quiet. It clocks in at a solid 3 Vrooms on its highest setting. It sounds like an automatic soap dispenser, just louder and constant (that motor sound). The bright side is that it is easy to travel with. It's best to remove the batteries before traveling so the toy does not accidentally turn on.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Sqweel 2 has two buttons: an arrow shaped button that is just like a play button for any electronic device and a button with two arrows to say "rotation." Hitting the play button puts the toy on its lowest setting. Press the play button again for medium speed and once more for high. Hitting the play button again will just cycle these three settings. Hold the play button to turn it off.

The rotation button changes the direction the tongues are going in. It does create a different experience because the tongues are naturally curved. The wheel can change directions at any speed setting. The final setting is what the "flicker" setting is. Pressing the rotate button second time will cause the wheel to move in short burst in either direction and repeat. This gives a total of 7 settings, four more than the original Sqweel.

Lubricant is a must when using the Sqweel 2. Put some on you and some on the tongues for the best possible experience. When describing the strength of Sqweel 2, it's difficult. The toy doesn't vibrate, and strength could be somehow correlated with the speed of the wheel. I'm giving it 3 Vrooms. Honestly, the stiffness and design of the tongues would best alter the intensity of this toy (there are other wheels available on the site if interested).

The Sqweel 2 is not waterproof. The back of it is just like a remote case. It requires 3 AAA batteries, which is different from the product page. Beware! The batteries do seem to last a long while.

Care and Maintenance

The Sqweel 2 isn't hard to clean, it just requires some extra time. If you want a toy that cleans quickly, this won't be for you. The Sqweel 2 comes apart easily. First, unsnap the pink cover. Now, if you look at the front of it has a switch that shows pictures of a lock, either locked or unlocked. Switch it to unlocked and the front piece comes off revealing the wheel. The wheel can easily come off the spoke. The main part of the to looks like this with the wheel off.

Wash the wheel with soap and water. Give the cap a rinse if needed. Wipe or clean the locking portion is needed. For the larger part, be careful not to get water in the battery compartment. Toy wipes or toy cleaner might be a safer and easier bet here. The cleaning isn't hard as much as extensive. If you love the toy, it is worth it.

Once clean, I would leave the pieces separate to let it dry quicker. When dry, snap the cap back on to keep the wheel from collecting dust. The plastic casing keeps the toy from interacting with most toy materials. You should only use water based lubricant to protect the silicone tongues.

Packaging

The packaging for the Sqweel 2 is basic. It is a simple card-stock box with a clear plastic window. There are no naked people on the packaging, but since the toy can be seen, it is not discreet. There are instructions included, and it's in multiple languages. It includes information regarding battery installation and taking the toy apart.

The packaging is not designed for storage. This could make a nice gift, but it may hurt your wallet if the person doesn't like it. The Sqweel 2 is not as sure a "score" for gift giving as opposed to other vibes. It is more unpredictable.

Experience

I already knew that the Sqweel 2 was going to have quite a reaction when it came in. Overall, this toy took me more time to write the review (a minority of toys do this to me). Because of this, I left it out in the living room in the house (my housemates know my EF activities). They each were confused by the look of this toy and exclaimed how weird it looked. One actually jumped a bit when they turned on the power button. They also had no idea how to turn the toy off, but that could have been because they were afraid of the noise of the toy.

I was excited to try this one out, and my partner was a good sport. He felt a little jealous of the Sqweel 2 because he thought I would replace his tongue with it. He's usually really good with any and all toys I get, which makes the Sqweel 2 unique in another way. Regardless, he tried it on me, but it wasn't doing anything. I took it from him, lubed up, and started it.

Perhaps I'm spoiled off my partner, because the Sqweel 2 didn't do very much for me. The sensations were stimulating, but this won't be a toy I always reach for. The Sqweel 2 is an acquired flavor. The noise distracts me a bit and I don't feel very comfortable handling it for long periods of time. Overall, I'll keep the Sqweel 2 and occasionally give it a go, but it's not a favorite in any way. My guy needn't worry, after my disappointment with the Sqweel 2, I grabbed him to finish the job.

I'm so glad I didn't get this as a buyout because like you, I'd find it difficult to write about it. I've had it for a few weeks and tried it the other night for the first time and it just did nothing for me. I'm sad that I wasted my points getting it .
