The Last Cock Ring You'll EVER Need

**First of all, I must say that this is the first review that I was actually EXCITED to write. Since this will be my 17th review, that alone gives you a MAJOR clue as to how much I love this toy.**




Mio is a rechargeable, 100% waterproof vibrating cock ring by Je Joue. It is designed to be worn during intercourse and has two major functions: one, to help with the wearer's "staying power", and two, to provide stimulation to both partners, especially the female. It could probably also be used to turn a dildo into a vibrator, if you are so inclined.

Oftentimes, reviewers will comment that a toy isn't "for beginners" because of its price. I tend to disagree. If people start out buying cheap, unreliable toys, they might get frustrated and give up on toys altogether. While I would definitely recommend getting a less expensive cock ring first just to make sure it's something you and your partner are interested in, I don't necessarily think you need to be highly experienced with toys to get a lot out of this product. Fortunately, it is easy to use for advanced users and beginners alike.

Mio is made from 100% silicone (with the exception of the buttons which are plastic.) Silicone rates a "10" on Eden's material safety scale, which is the highest you can get. It is phthalates-free and non-porous, meaning it can be shared between non-fluid bonded partners after a thorough cleaning.

As silicone goes, Mio is extremely smooth. There is very little drag, which means that a little lubricant goes a long way. There is no smell, which is one of true silicone's characteristics. The Mio is obviously stretchy, being a cock ring, but not nearly as stretchy as our other (TPR) cock ring. There is a seam both on the outside and inside of the ring, but neither of us noticed it during use.

At first glance, Mio appears bulky and heavy. This is due to the fact that unlike traditional cock rings, the motor is located inside the ring itself and not within a removable bullet. Don't let looks fool you: when worn, it actually feels light and comfortable. The only small caveat is that it does limit the depth of penetration approximately 1/2". This did not bother me at all (my partner is on the large side, anyway, for me) and I think it would be fine for most users. It's something to note, though.

The unstretched diameter of Mio is approximately 1 3/4", and that increases to 2 1/4" when stretched. It should fit most men around the shaft, but the balls are questionable. I have read reviews that say the ring can fit around both the shaft and balls, but I'm not buying it. My man wanted to try, but one look and I did not want to attempt it and risk hurting him.

According to my husband, Mio is very comfortable to wear. It is also easy to put on and take off. If you have pubic hair, you might want to be careful not to get it caught--that doesn't sound too fun!

I found Mio's functions surprisingly intuitive for how sophisticated it looks. To turn it on, simply hold the plus-sign button for two seconds. The minus-sign button functions similarly to turn it off.

There are five levels of vibration intensity, and you go back and forth by pressing the plus or minus buttons. For the modes, of which there are seven, press the middle button. Herein lies one of the few qualms I have with the toy: this button, unlike the other two, is not raised, making it tricky to press when worn. I sort of wish Je Joue had made it like the other two buttons to make it easier, but honestly it is a small price to pay for the performance and quality this ring provides.

I will attempt to describe the Mio's vibration patterns as follows:

1. Steady
2. Pulsating-slow
3. Roller-coaster escalation
4. Throbbing
5. Pulsating-faster
6. Pulsating, longer vibes between pauses than #2 and #6
7. Pulsating, stronger with a longer pause

Each time you press a button, a small LED light will flash, as shown in the picture. This light also flashes while Mio is recharging and stays constant when it is fully charged. Mio has an even charging ratio, which means that 2 hours of charging = about 2 hours of play time. Do not use Mio while it is charging--you can wait two hours or less, can't you?

The vibrations this cock ring delivers are.... Fantastic? Incredible? Phenomenal? I can't even think of adequate words to describe it. It's like the best everyday cock ring, on steroids. It's deep and rumbly and satisfying even on the lower settings. I've read that the vibrations are comparable to other Je Joue toys, which makes sense, however, I haven't had the chance to try any of them (not yet!) to confirm that.

Compared to your typical, buzzy bullet-driven cock ring, Mio is exceptionally quiet. I doubt it could be heard through a closed door, even on the highest setting.

As far as cleaning goes, you have several options with the Mio: soap and water, toy cleaner, or wipes. DO NOT under any circumstances attempt to boil this or run it through the dishwasher! The heat and pressure from either will ruin the electrical components inside. Remember silicone is non-porous, so you don't need to worry about sterilizing.

The box Mio comes with is perfect for storage, or you can use your own toy box. Just make sure it doesn't touch any other silicone toys because it may melt. Use only water-based lubes for the same reason. Be kind to your Mio and it will be kind to you. :)

Inside that you will find another, sturdier box, which is perfect for storage. You can see it has a section with a molded tray that holds the Mio, and then on the other side is a compartment for the instruction manual. The charger fits as well, making it really convenient for travel.

Mio is the first luxury rechargeable cock ring we have used, and I don't see a reason to fix what isn't broken. It delivers everything that our first cock ring didn't: power, durability, and the convenience of being rechargeable. Although it SEEMS expensive-and it is, without points and/or gift cards-it is well worth the investment when you consider how much enjoyment you will get out of it how much money you'll save on batteries. (Those watch batteries most bullets use aren't cheap!) If you've tried other cock rings before and been disappointed, don't give up yet--give this one a try.

While Mio is great in every position in which we're facing each other, my favorite is woman-on-top because I can grind against it. I find that the vibrations even travel down his penis, which is amazing. My husband can feel it, too, and he said that the pleasure from it does sort of counteract the ring's ability to help him last longer. That may be a 'con' for some people, but I'm just glad my husband is enjoying himself along with me.
