A massager as a massager?

In a time when nearly everything can be repurposed to fit your need, why not take this massager for what it is? With its strength and durability it will not let down when it comes to a good massage, no matter where it be, it will always be there!

Let me explain something here, I have used one of these massagers as just that, a massager. I know women out there can find their uses for it, and frankly that is perfectly fine with me (I'll come back to that point in a few). Yet the Wahl 2 speed massager is what I'd call an ol' faithful for when I used it, it eased my back pain like no other massager ever could! Yet I am saying that from having used a few and even a few of the ones you place over chairs, but moving on. This plastic wonder will do what you need it to, and that is help ease those stiff joints, aching muscles, and the occasional need just to help ease that slight pain or discomfort.

The first point to take into consideration about the Wahl is that it is strong, yeah this guy will pack a punch when you are using it on your back (with the correct attachments) and those vibrations don't just end skin deep, they can go pretty deep. I originally got this for my girlfriend, yet the day that I had a serious pain in my back after some unknown reason, and she used this on me. Problem SOLVED! It helped the pain leave rather quickly, yet while it cannot replace a true massage, it can help when you cannot get one.

Now onto the actual massager itself, it is made of a gray plastic, the switch where the switch to turn it on and to its two different settings, is rather easy to grip onto. A small warning that I have to say though is that it is rather top heavy, so holding it from where the switch is may cause some discomfort after a while. I'd also like to point out that the top of the massager has useful indentations in it to help you hold onto it while it is on. Also that the massage heads/ attachments are made out of PVC, so I would not recommend sharing one of the attachments for less innocent uses.

Although this massager can be used on a various amount of areas on one's body, there are a few things you should know. Such as using the appropriate attachment for the right part of your body. I'll get back to that in a moment though, I'd like to first list the Wahl comes with a number of attachments (I shall be calling the massage heads/attachments since they are attached onto the main body of the massager), which are the "general" attachment, "facial" attachment, "Muscle Kneading" attachment, "Knuckle" attachment, "Deep Muscle" attachment, "Scalp" attachment, and the "Pin Point" attachment. Rather than go over all of these, I'm just going to talk about the ones that I have actually used, since some of them were just well, pointless or me nor my girlfriend used them.
Experience
So without further procrastination towards the massage attachments, let me start with the "General" one:

The "General" attachment looks little like a funnel or a cone without the pointy tip, for reference, it is the attachment that is attached to the Wahl in the pictures and on the box itself. The General attachment is actually quite good in a lot of places, such as the back, legs, arms, etc. It is quite good when you do not need deep vibrations for where ever you have it, and it can be used just about anywhere on the body that one would want to put it. On its first or low setting, it is quite relaxing. Also to use this massager for its other use, it also works quite well for teasing your partner. While I was not one to exactly use a lot of the attachments for that, the general attachment was the one we used the most for that purpose.

The "Deep Muscle" attachment is attachment with the rings on it and on the Wahl's lowest setting works quite well in those areas where you need some deep vibrations to ease aches or pains. For me, it felt amazing the day that I was having some lower back pain and it did help out A LOT. This attachment also can be used for less innocent means and it works well for those who need less general vibrations.

The "Pin Point" or "Spot Application" attachment is one that is greatly useful when you need deep vibrations in one area and no matter how much you want something to reach it to ease it, nothing will. On another note though, it is very good for those that need stronger vibrations in other ways.

The "Scalp" attachment is kind of fun honestly, it felt kind of funny the first time I used it, but it felt oddly nice. Yet I would not recommend wasting this one on anything but your head, for this attachment should stay for that use only!

Regarding the other attachments I do not have any experience in using them or they were not that great for me or my girlfriend. We actually used the massager in some less than innocent ways, and I have been saying that for my review followed more of its actual use. Although we did use it for some teasing and play, I would like to still push forth that this massager is worth more as a massager than anything, for it works VERY well as that! Regarding my four star rating of the Wahl is to the fact that it can become quite loud when it is turned on and it can become a little bit distracting. Also the motor does get hot and a couple of the attachments may have a slight "seam" on them that can drag on the skin. Besides that it is a truly wonderful massager as long as it is not used for extended periods of time and you be careful with the attachments!
Follow-up commentary
Well it has been a while since I actually wrote my original review, and for its actual intended purpose as a massager... I still like it, it still helps ease those aches and pains throughout the day or the week!
