Evolution of Smooth: hand lotion

With a convenient disc shaped container, this lotion is really great for hands-on-the-go. It is easy to dispense, and rubs in generally easily and quickly. It may leave a little residue at first, but it is overall very light and watery. Its main ingredient is water, after all! Plus, there are no parabens in this lotion!

Use

Eos hand lotion is perfect for on the go hands. It is small, disc shaped and very compact.

Its biggest allure is its all-natural ingredients (for the most part) and its claim to being paraben-free. In a market of SLS and parabens and foreign ingredients that no one can pronounce, this is refreshing and quite a relief for irritated hands!

The only allergy concerns should be geared toward those with natural-based allergies or those with sensitive noses (if you purchase a kind with a scent).

It is perfect for hands, but I usually extend my lotion up my wrists and also my elbows. Most people looking for a simple, compact lotion will be happy with this purchase.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

When you dispense the lotion (which comes out very easily with a squeeze), it comes out feeling quite slick. Because it has a nice water base, it feels slightly watery but very light.

In terms of thickness, I would say this is on the very thin side of lotion. It isn't supposed to be like butter, because it is geared toward hands on the go. It is very easy to spread it, and a little dime-size dab will cover the hands easily.

I feel I should note that I do feel a residue of some sort on my hands after I put this on. It does dissipate after a minute or two. I also feel it reactivate when I wash my hands, so this might not be the best lotion for someone who washes their hands very frequently (but most people will find it sufficient at its job - I blame the water ingredient for this).

Taste / Aroma

As this is lotion, you probably don't want to eat it.

Scent wise, I did get the cucumber melon version. It has a very light, cucumber-reminiscent smell. It is not necessarily overwhelming. Since it only goes on your hands, you probably won't find it too sneeze-worthy. I do, however, think it is perfumey, and I do not particularly enjoy it. I have had much luck so far with EdenFantasys' products, but this one gets to me. It is not pre-teen girl overpowering... but it is still not so agreeable to me. Perhaps I just like other scents more.

Performance

This lotion will last you until you go washing your hands thoroughly in the sink. So for me, personally, it will most likely end up as a little present for a friend.

Most people will find it works pretty well for the price. It is extremely handy and can be kept in packed medicine cabinets, large purses, or small clutches. It is svelte and is a nice lotion to help with dry hands. It absorbs pretty nicely into the skin, but it does leave a light residue that most people probably won't even notice.

Its main benefit, really, is the more friendly ingredients!

The small, disc bottle is a convenient 1.5oz.

The ingredients include Water, Soybean Oil, Cocoglycerides, glyceryl stereate, dimethicone, glycerin, cetearyl alcohol, sodium stearoyl lactylate, sunflower seed oil, shea butter, macadamia oil, aloe leaf juice, oat meal extract, etc..

Please keep away from this one if you are allergic to soybean oil, glycerin, sunflower seed oil, shea, macadamia, oat meal, etc.

Personal comments

I guess I am more of a heavy-duty lotion kind of girl. This seems to be really geared at those who are looking for a lighter hand lotion. I wash my hands over 100 times in a typical day at work, so I really can't say I will be holding on to this one.

My boyfriend says the sent is hardly noticeable, so I think MOST people will find it light and pretty. I just don't like it (maybe I've gotten too particular).

Also of note, my bottle came to me with the clear sticker half peeled off and dirty from the box. It didn't leave the best impression.

Overall, personally, I was not terribly impressed.

Aw! I hate that this leaves some residue behind It's hard to find lotion that leaves nothing detectable whatsoever on my hands. I like that it's easy to use and was hoping it would be the one that I could use without the need to wash it off as soon as I put it on. I think I'll still give it a try though. Thanks for sharing so many details about it

Thanks for the heads-up about the scent! I'm super picky about smells. Agreed about the $8, too, especially since most stores have these for about $3.

Seriously seems overpriced. I see these at my grocery store for like... $1.50 I believe. Because they were on sale for $0.75 last time I was there. I like the organic idea but still. Thanks for the review.
