The Hitachi Magic Wand by Hitachi is primarily used as a clit stimulation massager but it can also be used on sore, aching muscles elsewhere in the body to relieve tension and pain. Anyone can get some use out of the Hitachi since it is an external massager, so beginners and advanced users can look forward to its powerful vibrations.

Size queens rejoice! The head of the Hitachi can technically be inserted by working up to stretching that much, say someone who partakes in fisting perhaps but before inserting the head should be covered somehow or replaced with an attachment cap made from silicone. There are a few different attachments that you can buy separately for the Hitachi: G-Plus Massager Attachment, Gee Whizzard, Off with Their Head Silicone Cap, Pleasure Dome.

The Hitachi is great for foreplay, solo sessions, tire or achy muscles or during sex if you can keep the cord out of the way and find good positions to incorporate it.

The body or handle of the Hitachi is made from plastic but the head is lightly textured, plushy rubber which is a porous material and should be cleaned thoroughly before and after every use, covered with a dental dam or other covering if you're inserting it or just pop it off and replace with a silicone cap.

Plastic has a safety rating of 8/10 meaning it is non-porous and easily cleaned but the head is porous, textured, squishy and flexible.

Only use water based lubricant with the Hitachi if you need some to help it glide around more easily.

There were no odors upon opening the package the Hitachi came in and it is only available in the white with blue and silver accent colors.

The Hitachi is 12" in total length, the handle making up about 9" of it and the soft flexible head is about 2" from top to bottom and 2 1/2" in diameter. The flexible neck is ribbed and blue in color and there is a ring of silver accent color around the widest end of the handle. Located about halfway down the handle is the control switch, which is toggle style, that turns the toy on/low, on/high or off. The handle tapers down at the far end and then flares out a little again before getting to the 72" electrical cord.

There's a big indentation around the head of the Hitachi but it is not something to worry about. It is noticeable but it is not painful to use that section of the head.

The control area of the Hitachi consists of a single toggle switch that turns it on/low, on/high and off when switched back to the center. Low is very powerful, about 5 or 6 Vrooms and high is even more powerful, just surpassing the Vrooms chart so ladies with clits of steel will be overjoyed with this vibrator.

The Hitachi gets its power from being plugged into an electrical socket so keep it away from water. It should also be noted that this toy should only be used in the US, it wasn't designed for international use.

This toy is so loud you will want to use it when you know you won't have any company or roommates around. It can be heard through blankets and doors and no amount of music will cover up the sound. Well maybe it could, but honestly, who wants the cops called because of blaring music to cover the noise of one's sex toy?

Since this toy is big and bulky and very noisy, it is not really suited for traveling. Finding something else to travel with would be your best bet.

To clean the Hitachi just wipe it down with toy wipes or pop the head covering off and wash with water and antibacterial soap and let air dry before replacing and storing.

Storing the Hitachi can be a pain because it's so big so be sure to make space for it in a drawer or on a shelf. You could also craft up a box to house this toy if you are the DIY kind of person. RubberMaid bins with drawers are also known to work well for storage but be sure to measure first to make certain the toy will fit.

The Hitachi came packaged in a white cardboard box that boasts its deep soothing vibrations for relaxing sore muscles. On one side there's a photo of the Hitachi and on the other side there are somewhat dated photos showing a clothed lady using the Hitachi on her shoulder, bicep and back/neck.

Included in the packaging there was a limited warranty and an instruction manual. Be sure to read the manual for the warnings and such before using this vibrator.

The packaging could be used for storage and does not blatantly scream "Sex toy inside!" but anyone who knows anything about sex toys will know the other use for this one. Wrap the box if gifting to be on the safe side.

I just had to buy one to see what all the fuss was about! Boy am I glad I did.

My husband and I had been wanting to buy one for a long time because it definitely has a reputation as being one of the most powerful vibrators. Well, it sure lives up to that and then some.
